What you’ll be doing...
You will lead an international training delivery team responsible for supporting our Customer Success teams in the Verizon Consumer Group, with a focus on the Partner Success Organization (PSO). You will partner with business leaders to identify learning needs to drive business and individual performance. You will need to Understand business strengths, opportunities, and objectives to determine the learning strategies that support short-term and strategic workforce plans. You will also manage programs and learning approaches that align with our business needs and be highly effective and in tune with our culture.
Responsibilities:
Working with business leaders to prioritize training requests and define & communicate training strategy including but not limited to New Hire, embedded base, systems, product/services, and operations.
Recommending, adapting, and implementing learning and performance support solutions to drive Key Performance Indicators for the channels supported
Partnering through extensive interaction with other functional departments especially HR and other L&D functions to drive increased employee capabilities and Key Performance Indicators.
Conducting site visits to assess learning results and develop improvements in training/learning solutions as well as Trainer skills.
Providing results and feedback to upper management and other internal customers, and providing feedback on participant test scores, overall skill level, and areas of opportunity.
Being held accountable for achieving training team productivity objectives including platform, observations, survey scores, project management, reporting & analysis, and professional development.
Providing feedback to curriculum development teams on ways to modify new and existing curricula based on participant feedback, observation of participant performance, and skill gaps.
Seeking innovative solutions and alternative delivery methods and partners with vendors as needed to address needs.
Focusing on impact and transforms learning by improving speed to competence, architecting for learning effectiveness/business results and engaging the learner
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or eight or more years of work experience.
Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
Leadership experience.
Prior project management experience.
Training Delivery experience.
Willingness to travel 50% - 75% of the time including international travel.
Willingness to work on flexible US-based hours.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Five or more years Verizon industry experience.
Formal project management experience, including responsibility for multiple, large scale projects with aggressive timelines.
Proven leadership of virtual teams including successful hiring/staffing, performance management, coaching, team development, career development
Practical understanding of adult learning theory and principles
Experience working with training measurement and ROI; tying effectiveness directly back to business indicators and results
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work with and on cross-functional teams (within and across business units and departments)
Ability to think innovatively and creatively combined with willingness to trial new and innovative learning approaches.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
Strong analytic, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Budget & vendor management skills
Strong presentation skills (verbal and written)
Experience with various virtual training platforms preferred.
Experience with VZLearn administration and support preferred.
