What you’ll be doing...

You’ll lead a world-class business sales organization set on changing the world and empowering our customers to do the same. The customer experience will be in your hands as you motivate your team to build relationships and delight customers. You’ll play a vital role in driving our business performance, growing the capability of your team, and ensuring that nothing gets in the way of achieving success.

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to acquire new business and grow existing government business.

  • Establishing, growing, and maintaining positive relationships and/or partnerships with internal and external customers.

  • Building a dedicated sales team who will deliver superior customer experiences.

  • Driving and tracking team performance to achieve sales goals.

  • Inspiring individual and team performance through on-going training, development, coaching, recognition, and rewards.

  • Handling financial, budget, and sales reporting activities.

  • Presenting at local and state government events.

What we’re looking for...

You are a strong communicator and inspirational leader who knows how to get the best from your team. You drive hard for results while motivating and building team confidence to achieve even more than they thought possible. Your executive presence and willingness to learn enables you to build credibility and critical relationships quickly. You have a competitive spirit and a desire to win through the team.

You’ll need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Outside sales or account management experience.

  • Commission-based sales experience.

  • A valid driver’s license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master’s degree.

  • Demonstrated experience leading a sales team in a commission-based sales environment.

  • A track record of strong sales results. Ideally, individually and as a team.

  • Prospecting, funnel management and account management skills.

  • Business planning and proposal writing experience.

  • Managed competing priorities with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills.

Where you’ll be working

In this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in-person training and meetings.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $112,000.00 and $208,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
