At Verizon, we power and empower how people live, work and play by connecting them to what brings them joy. We do what we love — driving innovation, creativity, and impact in the world. Our V Team is a community of people who anticipate, lead, and believe that listening is where learning begins. In crisis and in celebration, we come together — lifting our communities and building trust in how we show up, everywhere & always. Want in? Join the V Team Life.
What you’ll be doing...
You will lead and manage a highly motivated and successful team of manufacturing engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring that products manufactured by OEMs meet quality standards throughout the product and launch process. This role will oversee product launch activities in the factory, line qualifications, and collaborating with cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes incorporating findings from field performance and Clean & Screen operations.
Collaborate with internal teams (Industrial Design, Device Marketing, Sourcing, Supply Chain NPI etc) and external OEM partners to ensure alignment on quality objectives and timelines.
Drive supplier assessment for new supplier selection and manufacturing readiness assessments and verification processes for product launches.
Oversee the qualification of production lines for new and existing products to ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with quality standards. Conduct line audits and validations to confirm that manufacturing lines are capable of mass production with consistent high quality.
Establish quality control plans with OEM partners, ensuring consistency and compliance with specifications.
Implement risk management strategies to proactively identify and mitigate potential quality issues.
Work with OEMs to resolve any quality issues during production and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Provide support and guidance to OEMs in areas such as process improvement, quality control, and troubleshooting.
Track and report quality trends, utilizing data to drive improvements and ensure that lessons learned are applied to future products.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or eight or more years of work experience.
Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
