What you’ll be doing...
The Network Performance Associate Director is accountable for the network reliability and performance of a number of Service and Transport Aggregation Points (SAP/TAPs) to guarantee the best customer experience in the market. This position requires organizing and ensuring plans for the timely installation of SAP/TAP hardware, transport facilities, translations and systems software upgrades, along with a focus on performance of the local wireless network. Equipment that this position is responsible for includes but is not limited to Routers, IP switches, CDMA switch & Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment, optical transport systems and voicemail systems. This team is also responsible for supporting the RAN projects from a transport perspective. You are also responsible for the building in its entirety, including the reliability of the HVAC, power delivery systems and maintenance of the building(s).
This position leads a group of Systems Engineers dispersed across multiple locations. This role includes the training and continued development of that workforce along with organizing and scheduling the resources necessary to support a broad range of network elements and disciplines.
Developing the team in preparation for their next position whether it includes the maintenance and operation of next generation networking or progression into peripheral roles within System Assurance.
Managing the operation and maintenance of all technologies necessary to expand and evolve the network to meet customer demand for new and improved service offerings, specifically within the RAN.
Supporting of both capital and expense projects while delivering upon financial targets/goals.
Identifying and implementing projects that improve efficiency through automation or process improvement.
Interfacing and providing support to all other departments in the organization, such as: Construction, RF, System Performance, Planning, HQ and Facilities to ensure growth schedules are being met, along with ensuring security, safety, and environmental compliance per corporate guidelines.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Four or more years of relevant experience in one or more of the following fields; wireless networks, telecommunications, radio communications, IP networks.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.
Even better if you have:
Master’s degree.
Two or more years of demonstrated managerial/leadership experience. Ideally, experience managing remote teams.
Service provider experience in MSC and/or Cell Operations and/or System Performance.
Experience in the following fields: Wireless Networks, RF design, Performance and IP networks and routing.
Familiarity with SDN and NFV.
Experience in networking including IP addressing, routing and Ethernet switching.
Experience and knowledge of Transmission facilities and network protocols (IP, Ethernet Backhaul, Dark Fiber).
Knowledge of LTE/5G RAN and Core technologies, Fiber systems, UNIX and Linux operating systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of 4G and 5G call flows for voice and/or data session describing network elements from cell to internet.
Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
General understanding of large scale AC and DC power systems.
General understanding of large scale HVAC equipment.
Experience in process engineering, financial analysis, innovative thought.
Demonstrated track record of managing deliverables and meeting timelines and strong project management skills.
Willingness to work extremely flexible hours including evenings, nights and weekends as required.
Capability to be a strong administrator with experience managing to a budget.
Experience working in a switching office, data center or related environments.
Knowledge of building management and plant equipment and methodical thought process that lends to solid troubleshooting capabilities in challenging situations.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
