What you’ll be doing...
You will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of employee transactions and payments related to sickness, short-term disability, workers' compensation absences, time reporting (including such items as overtime, differentials, on-call pay), special pay, deductions, taxes, and earnings. You will demonstrate your understanding of the payroll processing tools (ERP, HR and Payroll, and time reporting) and your ability to use these appropriately to perform tasks supporting the record keeping of New Hires, Terminations, Military Pay, Special Pay, Deductions, Tax, Garnishment, Time Reporting, Short Term Disability, and Banking transactions
Inputting, initiating, and updating employee payroll transactions directly into payroll and time systems, meeting payroll schedules to ensure employees are paid on time.
Assisting in gathering, deriving, and processing inputs to the payroll and time system to support the gross-to-net calculation for exempt, non-exempt, and union/associate employees.
Applying knowledge of local, state, federal, and /or country tax requirements and wage and pay practices to ensure accurate pay.
Producing accurate and effective information using simple queries and reporting tools (e.g., minimal table joins and conditional clauses needed).
Performing detailed verification, review, and preparation of payroll updates as required from vendor interface files, self-service, or manual updates.
Preparing and processing payroll updates as required from time interface files (system feeders), daily change registers, or manual updates.
Validating union pay and other various special pay processing.
Supporting internal and external audit compliance.
Understanding the end-to-end functional processes as well as how the functional processes integrate with the overall end-to-end payroll processes.
Working to support the team to improve the business through technology enhancements, standardization, and simplified processes.
Creating and updating employee on-cycle pay lines, off-cycle, and online check processes.
Interacting with peers in various Global Payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate pay to employees.
Working within a shared services team supporting transactional volumes amongst peers.
Assisting in developing process documentation for payroll system transactions.
Identifying and communicating process improvements as identified in the normal performance of daily functional activities.
What we’re looking for...
A quick learner who can anticipate trends, analytical relationships, and key performance indicators within the industry and economy that could have impacts on the business. You are passionate about systems and process streamlining and consolidation, and continually research for best practices. You stay current on industry standards by engaging in networking and benchmarking. Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills. You're able to multi-task and support high-volume day-to-day activities. You're able to work cooperatively in a shared service environment while balancing your work volume, and meeting processing timelines.
You’ll need to have:
One or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office including Excel.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree.
Experience with end-to-end payroll processing.
Experience with Google suite.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
