What you’ll be doing...

The Payments Analyst works with customer payments, payment application, research, returns and escheatment. This role handles escalations of customer requests related to unapplied and/or misapplied payments.

  • Utilize various systems and subledgers to research payment application.

  • Assist with developing solutions to payment problems and testing the accuracy of system enhancements designed to accommodate these solutions.

  • Develop and document process changes to improve the quality and efficiency of the operation.

What we’re looking for...

You are detail oriented and approach work with a process mindset. You develop transformative solutions to improve functions.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.

  • Understanding and/or working knowledge of Verizon billing and payment systems.

  • Understanding of payment types (check, ACH, EDI, Credit Card, etc) and the rules for each.

  • Experience in the payment industry.

  • Competent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products and financial system programs.

  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods.

  • Possess strong positive interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently or in a group, functioning in a multi-task and fast-paced environment.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
