What you’ll be doing...

At Verizon, we have built a world-class Accounting organization. And it just keeps getting better! We’re a collaborative team that adds significant value to our stakeholders through advanced data analytics, driving business insights, identifying and implementing improvements through a wide array of digital finance automation and visualization tools, as well as supporting enterprise-wide system implementations.

Working as part of the International accounting team you’ll be using your knowledge to execute accounting processes and support your colleagues.
Specific responsibilities include:

• Calculate and process intercompany accounting transactions. Ensure compliant supporting documentation is provided.
• Clearing GL cash accounting entries for bank uncleared items.
• Prepare the daily cash analysis to support month end reporting.
• Raising and posting accounting entries in SAP.
• Producing compliant balance sheet reconciliations and updating “Blackline “balance sheet
• reconciliation repository.
• Continuously interacting with key stakeholders outside of accounting.
• Successfully completing multiple and diverse deliverables, taking accountability for the
• Completeness and accuracy of work.
• Ensuring compliance

What we’re looking for...

An ability to work effectively and independently with your peers in other functions, strong attention to detail, comfortable managing data from multiple sources and working cross functionally.

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
• Previously worked in an accounting role.
• Experience of working with SAP and Blackline.
• Preparation of general ledgers and report query.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Proficiency in a European language other than English.
• ACCA, ACA or CIMA certification (or similar).
• Experience working within a multinational company.
• Demonstrated Shared Service Centre experience.
• Experience gained whilst working in the IT or Telecommunications industry.
