Job role: Company Secretarial Assistant
Salary: £40,000– £44,000 + up to 6% bonus per annum
Working location: Milton Keynes
Employment type: full time, permanent
Job summary:
NHBC is seeking a dedicated Company Secretarial Assistant to join our team in London & Milton Keynes. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional looking to supporting the Company Secretary and the Secretariat team in delivering high-quality company secretarial administrative and governance services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations and compliance with statutory and regulatory deadlines.
Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
- Board & Committee Support: Prepare agendas, collate and distribute meeting packs, schedule meetings, arrange logistics, and provide general administrative support.
- Company Secretarial Support: Maintain department spreadsheets, company registers, archives, and records. Monitor and manage the Company Secretariat’s inbox, update the intranet site, and oversee content on the NHBC website.
- Document Management: Format, proofread, and prepare documents and presentations. File forms relating to changes in corporate information and draft skeleton minutes for meetings.
- Event Support: Assist with Company Secretarial events such as the Annual General Meeting, Board dinners, and Council events.
- Governance Projects: Support governance projects, including board effectiveness reviews, and organize team meetings, take minutes, and track action points.
What we’re looking for
- Experience: Experience in a financial services environment with company secretarial and board experience to board level.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, high attention to detail, and accuracy. Proactive, flexible, and able to work under own initiative with a “can do” attitude.
- Personal Attributes: Friendly, approachable, and a team player. Self-motivated, able to act with integrity, confidentiality, and discretion. Pragmatic thinker with a solution-oriented approach.
