About the Role: We are seeking a Java Developer with 3-5 years of experience, who will primarily focus on security vulnerability remediations and performing framework upgrades to facilitate these remediations. The ideal candidate will work closely with our security team to identify, analyze, and address vulnerabilities in Java-based applications while ensuring that our codebase remains up-to-date with secure and optimized frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities within Java applications.
• Perform framework upgrades, such as Spring Boot, to mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with the security team to ensure secure coding practices across the development lifecycle.
• Refactor and optimize existing code to adhere to security best practices and standards.
• Conduct thorough testing of vulnerability fixes and framework upgrades to ensure system stability and security.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality and secure code delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Java frameworks like Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience with identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities in code.
• Good understanding of RESTful API development and implementation.
• Familiarity with software development best practices and secure coding standards.
• Experience in performing framework upgrades to address security issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of security frameworks and secure coding principles.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker) is a plus, but not mandatory.

Good to Have:

• Experience with application security tools such as Snyk, SonarQube, or Veracode for vulnerability detection and remediation.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and best practices to mitigate them.
• Understanding of encryption and secure data transmission protocols (SSL/TLS).
• Knowledge of security audit processes and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO/IEC 27001).
• Experience with static and dynamic code analysis tools to improve code security.
• Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
