What you’ll achieve

As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing the activities of a managing infrastructure and onboarding new services. You will work with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of Site Reliability Engineering.

You will:

• Perform a light amount of HR responsibilities as the first line manager for team members

• Establish goals and expectations for team members that align with company policies and standards

• Coach and mentor team members to help identify and achieve career growth opportunities

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to establish a team chartaer with achievable goals and strategy that align with the company objectives

• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate development activities and delivery of customer value with other business functions including Support, Customer Success, and Product.

• Monitor progress, identify challenges, and recommend adjustments to the plan based on actionable engineering metrics

• Foster an environment that enables the team to thrive and achieve results while maintaining a healthy work-life balance

• Be accountable for outcomes and culture of the team

• Possess a basic understanding of the architectural and technical foundations of your area of ownership

• Advocate to maintain and advance Technical Excellence, e.g. Observability, Scalability, and Stability

Essential Requirements

• Experience mentoring team members in their professional growth
• Experience with agile and lean development practices, metrics driven governance
• Experience with Service management, SRE principles and DevOps principles as core deliverables
• Experience in maintaining large scale software systems in production
• Experience with security complaince, Observability and Incident Management process
• Familiarity with managing highly scalable production environment
• Written and verbal communication skills, including one on ones with team members, and asynchronous communication with other teams.
  
  Desirable Requirements
• 7+ years experience in software developement/operations
• 3+ years experience in people leadership
• Basic understanding of integration services
• Experience in event-driven and micro services architectures
