SAP Basis Admin ( Location - Bangalore)
Join us as a SAP Basis Admin on our IT Cloud Infrastructure team in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

Here’s what we are looking for with this role:


Essential Requirements

Following are the activities to be performed by the BASIS administrator.

  • SAP Basis administration with skill in windows and Linux with Hana and Oracle database
  • Hands on experience in client server and web application server
  • Manage SAP users, licenses types, authorisations, and profiles.
  • Configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.
  • Monitor all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.).
  • Perform SAP client administration- create client, copy client, delete client as required.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
  • Should be able to create and restore data backups, database clean up.
  • Should be able to monitor and manage the servers, background jobs, performance of the system.
  • Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment.
  • Design and implement an optimal SAP configuration to maximise system performance and availability.
  • Install and configure all required SAP database servers and application servers.
  • Provide BASIS expertise in identifying issues in the system and possible ways to fix them.
  • Analyse the performance of the production system and identify what issues are causing performance issues.
  • Provide deep expertise and best practices to set up the system parameters and settings to run SAP smoothly.
  • Perform HANA DB tuning
  • Must have good exp of BASIS work in large organisations or implementation projects.
  • HANA DB experience, especially in performance tuning.
  • Knowledge in running SAP standard reports & notes for performance tuning and implementing them.
  • Knowledge in fixing issues reported in memory dumps, system logs, and other performance-intensive areas.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science is required.

  • 6+ years of SAP BASIS Admin experience.

  • AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud knowledge.

  • The ability to gather requirements from stakeholders, manage competing priorities, solve problems quickly, and work independently.

  • Takes ownership and responsibility for one’s own work and professional career development.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
