Cloud API Management, Product Owner - Pune, India

Showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage, product management at Boomi is responsible for the cross-functional management of products or solutions through their entire lifecycle. Using a wealth of technical and industry experience, we work across functional areas to implement our products or solutions. We undertake thorough analysis of the markets to ensure we maximize profitability and adjust our product strategies to respond to competition. Our role also involves acting as subject matter experts for internal and external product events or partner meetings.

What you’ll achieve

As a Cloud API Management Product Owner, you will identify new growth areas, technologies and emerging product/service opportunities. You will conduct in-depth market analysis to optimize existing products/solutions and build next generation products, partnering closely with the Engineering and Product Management teams to build a product roadmap and align product strategies for the business.

You will:

• Collaborate closely with product teams to translate themes and vision into deliverable features
• Capture and manage requirements and provide a simple interpretation
• Manage products throughout their entire lifecycle
• Support business case for improvements or new products
• Drive preparation for external and internal product events


Core Requirements
• 10+ years of experience as a SaaS Product Owner, Product Manager or equivalent
• Strong understanding of API Fundamentals: Knowledge of REST, GraphQL, SOAP, and other API protocols and standards
• Familiarity with API patterns such as microservices, service mesh, asynchronous, and event-driven architecture
• Excellent technology/engineering skills relating to design, test and quality
• Ability to grasp high level business goals and objectives as they relate to customer use cases and solutions
• Conduct market and competitive analysis for feedback into product roadmap

Preferred Experience
• Cloud Native and Containerization: Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• API Design and Documentation: Proficiency in designing APIs using tools like Swagger/OpenAPI, and experience with API documentation best practices
• API Security: Understanding of OpenID, OAuth2, JWT, API keys, and other API authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Experience with API Management Solutions: Hands-on experience with API gateways, security, versioning, rate limiting, and analytics (e.g., Apigee, Kong, WSO2, MuleSoft, Gravitee, Mashery)
