In order to support Avionics & Systems Architecture Department, Airbus Helicopters is looking for a
Working Student within Systems Architecture (d/f/m)
You are a full time student, looking for a working student position and want to get to know the work of an Avionics Systems Engineer? Then apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Avionics & Systems Architecture Department as a working student (d/f/m) with approx. 18 hours a week!
Location: Donauwörth
Start: As soon as possible
Duration: 12 months
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

The main missions of the Avionics and Systems Architecture department
Anticipate future needs and possible avionics solutions, from concept analysis up to feasibility during Research and Pre-Dev stages
To ensure retrofit & upgrades of our fleet in service
To keep our avionics up-to-date (obsolescence solving, avionics improvements, introduction of new capabilities/features), in the frame of future developments
To define, develop and certify the most effective avionics solutions
To participate to avionics strategy at system level
To contribute to technology roadmaps
To contribute to System Engineering set-up for Avionics (process, methods & tools)
To manage transverse functions
Your tasks and responsibilities
Identify with the project stakeholders the new needs or opportunities
Take a dedicated methods & tools improvement project / application from design to deployment
Collaborate with the team, our partners and internal customers to understand and solve real operational challenges
Write, test, implement and document high-quality, maintainable, and efficient methods and tools incl. tool implementation
Desired skills and qualifications
Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) (Bachelor or Master) in Systems Engineering, or a related field
Basic understanding on SysML and interest to expand the knowledge to dive deep into the UML Metamodel
Programming skills and interest to apply them on Systems Engineering tools for process automatisation
Basic understanding on Model Based System Engineering
Strong team player who is willing to work in a very diverse and international environment
Language Skills: English Business fluent; French, German or Spanish are a plus
