An opportunity for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI also called VAD - Virtual Apps & Desktop) Product Manager (h/f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane.

Today, the Information Management (IM) directorate is contributing to its transformation, which is one of the key company objectives.

The Product Service Line "Extended Enterprise" participates actively to these challenges, providing Extended Enterprise solutions which enable Airbus Helicopters Suppliers, Partners, Customers and employees to access AH Information Systems & services from their premises, in-line with stringent commitments on service level agreements and Security company policies.

Within the "IM Infrastructures & Digital Platforms" domain, you belong to the multifunctional team of the Extended Enterprise Product Service Line. You will be welcomed in a dynamic and empowered team, where teamwork and solidarity are key values!

The VDI solution (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure or also called VAD - Virtual Apps & Desktop) is one of our historical key technical products serving all our Extended Enterprise business cases (mainly 2D use cases). Today, the VDI solution is at the core of the transformation of the IT environment of the Product LifeCycle Management (PLM) community conducted in the frame of Airbus Digital Design, Manufacturing & Services (DDMS). In 2024 several hundreds of Design Office engineers, then several thousands of users the following years, will use VDI solutions with 3D use cases (3DExperience, Catia, …). VDI solutions are more than ever critical for AH company, and so require to extend and strengthen the team with a talent profile to support them the best on those solutions.

As "VDI Product Manager" junior in this position, you will be progressively involved in both project & and run activities, relying on the AH VDI referent product manager in order to deliver and deploy the solution, products and services with end-to-end accountability and to manage the VDI products lifecycle, both developing the products and operating them to meet operational SLA's.

As complements of the on the job development path, an appropriate training path will be offered as well as the mentorship of the experimented VDI product manager in order to accompany the development of your VDI expertise.

Thanks to your first experience as an apprentice within AIrbus Helicopters and eager to develop yourself in a wide IT domain, you will develop/reuse knowledge around development/automation to serve various transversal needs of the PSL as well as to improve the VDI solutions integration into AH landscape and to foster the automation when possible.

Your challenges:

You are accountable for the End to End Product/Application or Service lifecycle, from conception, design, industrialization, operation to retirement including management of dependencies.

You are responsible for Multi Functional Teams formation in order to manage the IT Product/Application or Service lifecycle.

You identify opportunities and create a product or a Service that satisfies the client/end user including Time, Quality and Cost of the Product.

It will led to the delivery of the following IM services:

VDI/VAD solutions design:

-Support solution architects during the definition of the solution to address business requirements

-Support in the delivery of POC

Projects:

-As Project Leader (or WP Leader), lead and contribute to the implementation, the acceptance and the run organization of the complete VDI/VAD solution with a high level of coordination expected in regards to all stakeholders.

Run:

-To ensure monitoring & service continuity on VDI/VAD products (Marignane and Donauworth Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops solutions)

-Incident, request management, change management, demand management (Supplier set-up, …)

-To manage escalation

-To improve awareness, usage of existing solutions

-To identify opportunities for harmonization and streamline the VDI/VAD solution portfolio in close alignment with the business stakeholders and the enterprise architecture framework

-To foster the harmonization of French and German VDI/VAD activity organization/processes/solutions/…

Your boarding pass:

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies:

- Master's degree level (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related field.

- Demonstrated a high interest for IT and engagement during the apprenticeship

- Higly motivated to develop expertise vdi
- Curious, eager to develop, appetite for new technologies
- Ability to propose initiatives
- Good understanding of business requirements, customer service oriented and focus on quality deliverables.

- Partner & Subcontractor Mgnt, stakeholders Mgnt, Customers expectations & needs

- Team spirit and good relationshipsrelationship as well as service mindedness and accountability are key values for this job position.

-Analyze and problem-solving skills

- French negotiation level.

- English negotiation level.

This role will involve some regular travelingtravelling in Europe and as such you will need to be able to travel accordingly.

This position is offered on a local contract only.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
