This role will be within the UK Communications team for Airbus Defence and Space. Based at offices in Stevenage and also working remotely, the team has a wide remit and work across the main UK sites of Stevenage, Portsmouth and Newport. It is a great opportunity to learn about communicating to a wide-ranging external audience and working with an international team.

What you will be doing:

During this placement, the activities you may undertake will include:

• Developing content for external communications including sourcing content for articles, writing engaging stories for the web and drafting press releases;
• Developing content and ideas for social media;
• Creating presentations and audiovisual material;
• Organising events – for media and customer visits including attending industry exhibitions;
• Contributing ideas for overall UK communications campaigns and monitoring KPIs.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

As the successful candidate, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Studying towards a degrees related to communications, media, international politics and content marketing;

• Ability to use G Suite;

• Ability to write content in different formats - suitable for the web, social media and media releases.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
