Position’s Summary
Location: Bremen, Germany
Duration: Full Time (35 Hrs)
Contract: Limited (12 M)
Reports to: Head of Engineering
Number of openings: 1
Material & Processes Project Engineer Surface Technology (m/w/d)
We are a young, dynamic team and are looking for support in the area of Surface Technology within the Airbus Group.
Your Tasks
Research and development of EHS (environmental health & safety) compliant primer / paint systems
Fundamental research on the inhibition concepts for paint systems and its influence on corrosion protection
Assess technical performance of product proposals by definition of test programs, perform testing and preparation of technical reports
Analytical investigations regarding the physical and chemical properties of coatings
Perform root cause analysis on structural paint issues relevant for aircraft corrosion performance
Contribute to the continuous processes reviews and improvements
Contributes to the product development with material supplier
What we look for
Completed Master's degree or diploma in surface technology, chemistry, or material sciences or equivalent.
Work experience in areas such as, surface technology, painting, chemistry, material science, preferably in the aerospace industry, is an advantage.
Knowledge of corrosion protection
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
Independent and structured way of working
Ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility
