  • Location: Bremen, Germany

  • Duration: Full Time (35 Hrs)

  • Contract: Limited (12 M)

  • Reports to: Head of Engineering

  • Number of openings: 1

Material & Processes Project Engineer Surface Technology (m/w/d)

We are a young, dynamic team and are looking for support in the area of Surface Technology within the Airbus Group.


Your Tasks

  • Research and development of EHS (environmental health & safety) compliant primer / paint systems

  • Fundamental research on the inhibition concepts for paint systems and its influence on corrosion protection

  • Assess technical performance of product proposals by definition of test programs, perform testing and preparation of technical reports

  • Analytical investigations regarding the physical and chemical properties of coatings

  • Perform root cause analysis on structural paint issues relevant for aircraft corrosion performance

  • Contribute to the continuous processes reviews and improvements

  • Contributes to the product development with material supplier


What we look for

  • Completed Master's degree or diploma in surface technology, chemistry, or material sciences or equivalent.

  • Work experience in areas such as, surface technology, painting, chemistry, material science, preferably in the aerospace industry, is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of corrosion protection

  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

  • Independent and structured way of working

  • Ability to work in a team, resilience, flexibility
