As our Test Systems Engineer, you will be part of a team of 11 which is responsible for maintaining Telecommunication test systems at the Helsinki site.
We are developing and maintaining complete telecom solutions for our worldwide customers. With us you have the opportunity, as part of the Test Laboratory team, to attend designing, integrating and maintaining the test environments used by our internal customers. Your tasks are challenging and varying as the technologies we maintain in the test laboratories cover all our Tetra, hybrid and broadband products.

As a valued member of our team specializing in the Public Safety sector, your primary objective revolves around Tetra system development projects where Test Systems Engineer has a key role in supporting R&D activities in the test laboratory.
Your specific tasks include:
Tetra test network configuration design, configuration and maintenance
Support R&D and Verification with troubleshooting
Configuring IP networks, including IPSec
Maintaining Virtual platforms e.g. RedHat and VMware

The Team
Our Test Laboratory team consists of 11 people who are responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining test systems to support our R&D, Verification and Maintenance functions.
We have team members in different locations in Finland and close connections to teams abroad. Together we support developing new Tetra and hybrid network solutions in Finland and internationally.
As part of the team you have the opportunity to work with the latest Public Safety solutions and technologies. We design and implement test laboratory networks and manage needed hardware products: servers, IP backbone, Nokia DX platforms, Base stations, Tetra and Smartphone mobiles and a large variety of applications in our VM platforms.
Teamwork is important to us and you will therefore be working closely with software designers, testing engineers and other project team members in an agile way to support all projects to develop and maintain all our solutions.

In this role, we need a motivated team player interested in working with public safety network technologies. You are interested in designing, implementing and maintaining test environments and deeper your understanding of various technical skills like: IP Networking, Tetra Networking, Virtualization and perhaps also for Base Stations and RF.
We expect you to have:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications or related field
Experience on IP network design & configuration, including IPSec
Experience on working with Linux platforms
Good spoken and written English and Intermediate Finnish skills
and would appreciate having experience on:
Virtual platform solutions
Nokia DX200 platform
Nokia Airscale and/or Tetra Base Stations
Tetra system
