Test Engineer / Mechanical Designer

Job Description:

The Test Engineer / Mechanical Designer is responsible for designing the test benches, overseeing their manufacturing and
testing components for Airbus Helicopters development programs. The Candidate should be a highly motivated and talented person
to join the Tests Team, a part of the international Airbus Helicopters testing community. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
(or similar) and professional experience in mechanical design is necessary, the experience in mechanical tests will be an advantage.
Tasks, role &amp; responsibilities:
 Plan and perform a wide range of helicopter’s parts tests
 Participate in root cause analysis and failure analysis activities
 Document and track all issues discovered by validation testing activities and lead issue resolving efforts
 Responsible for design of new test benches and their modifications
 Responsible for tracking the manufacturing and assembly processes of new test benches
 Identify test equipment and instrumentation to purchase
 Prepare technical documentation (test plans, test reports, 3D&amp;2D documentation etc.)
 Be responsible for regular contact with an internal client
 Coordinate with external test labs and suppliers to organize and execute the tests
Required qualifications:
 BS in mechanical engineering or similar
 At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design
 A good knowledge of CAD software (CATIA V5 preferred but not mandatory)
 Experience in preparation of technical documentation (drawings, specifications, technical notes etc.)
 Proven ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems
 Experience in aviation industry preferred but not mandatory
 Ability to work in an international team
 Ability to work autonomously
 Good team-spirit
 Language skills: English C1 level at least (additional French or German knowledge will be an advantage)
