Job Objectives

To ensure complete accuracy of all incoming products upon receipt and outgoing to customer for both Red & Blue Channel in accordance with Satair’s Company Management System. Such accuracy, in alignment with Satair’s quality objectives, shall pertain to documentation, part numbers, specification, description, quantity and quality of products.

  • Perform incoming inspection to ensure that aviation products, parts and appliances received meet the applicable requirements.

  • Perform outgoing inspection to ensure that the design status is still current prior to issue of an EASA Form 1 to declare the airworthiness of new aviation products, parts and appliances.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct shipment from forwarder prior acceptance.

  • Unpack the delivered items for inbound inspection

  • Perform incoming and outgoing inspection to ensure that aviation products, parts and appliances meet the applicable design specification

  • Ensure all certificates and deliveries documentation are in order

  • Ensure proper record of technical inspections performed in the production orders and the relevant IT system (SAP)

  • Issue certificates of conformity and/or EASA Form 1, where applicable

  • Document shipment discrepancy in the applicable Claim Database and follow up with relevant stakeholders to resolve the discrepancy.

  • Ensure non-conforming material are managed according to company procedures.

  • Perform periodic inspection managed according to company procedures.

  • Manage a shelf life monitoring program according to company procedures.

  • Perform inspection on customer return goods according to company procedures

  • Perform goods return to supplier according to company procedures

  • Perform scrapping of parts according to company procedures

  • Provide support on the management of the supplier discrepancy and customer claim handling and investigation

  • Report any Suspected Unapproved Parts to the Manager

  • Handle quality escape notifications and perform required actions

  • Maintain tidy conditions in own working area and any other areas for which the individual is responsible

  • Able to work 24 hours shift work

  • Any other tasks any assigned by the Manager

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager to implement and manage an independent quality and safety system with its administration to ensure that the activities carried out can be monitored for compliance with the relevant CAAs, ISO9001, AS9110 & AS9120 requirements and relevant procedures and instructions that are called out by company procedures

  • Work in backup capacity within the team by arrangement with the Manager – Quality

  • Provide support and guidance to the Warehouse and Shipping team on the incoming and outgoing quality related process

  • Perform pick, pack and process shipment orders through the point of picking to dispatch with appropriate paperwork, when necessary.

  • Report any deterioration in Quality performance and recommend mitigation actions

  • Promote quality awareness throughout the organization

  • Assist the Manager to manage a system to monitor, investigate and evaluate customer's complaints and warranties issues in the operations

  • Assist in the development of new processes together with the appropriate departments

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education N level or equivalent with technical training preferred, preferably with a minimum Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in an Airbus Production environment or an equivalent level from a different production/repair organization confirmed by POA Compliance Team is required

  • Technically knowledgeable and capable of grasping detailed engineering and quality concepts

  • Ability to understand and read blueprints, schematics & Component Maintenance Manuals

  • Be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and ability to read and understand the applicable procedural documentation and regulation

  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to multi-task effectively

  • Strong analytical/Critical thinking/Problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and a high level of integrity and passionate in problem solving and drive for results

  • Effective time management

  • Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, attention to detail, energetic approach to job duties and requirements

  • Inter-cultural understanding

  • Honest, dependable, loyal and self-reliance

  • Good written, verbal communication and presentation skill

  • Attitude supportive of Satair values

  • Preferably with minimun 18 months of aviation experience with at least 6 months in quality assurance function

  • Knowledge of airworthiness authorities’ regulatory requirements and AS9100 series standard requirements is an added advantage

  • Ability to analyze inspection findings, and determine best case analysis advantage

  • PC literacy, including google word, spreadsheets & slides

  • Knowledge of SAP
