About us:

Space Systems delivers some of the most challenging and exciting projects in Airbus, Including OneSat, Skynet & ESA's Galileo. These projects offer a challenging, dynamic, and high paced environment where a strong Project Management Team is key to success.

Within this team and in order to meet these challenges, the Project Management Office (PMO) contributes key roles to support the project team to proactively drive the different Project Management processes.

What you will be doing:

As a PMO Analyst you will support the Project PMO team:

  • Maintain the Project Management Plan & managing the Project Management digital ecosystem to operate the programme;
  • Preparation of various project reports, and facilitating meetings and support preparation of milestones;
  • Maintain the Risk & Opportunities (R&O) register, including the facilitation of capture and assessment of risks and opportunities;
  • Planning and preparing Maturity Gates whilst also maintaining the action register, driving the timely closure of actions;
  • Ensures consistency among all contractual, financial and technical requirements and coverage in the Project Management Plan (in close cooperation with the Project Controller, Customer Contract Manager and Technical Manager);
  • Track programme progress and governance and provide visualization and early warning of potential issues to allow for early mitigation, anticipation and data-driven decisions;
  • Ensure the coherence and consistency of all Project Management data;
  • Delivery quality multi-functional analysis covering the PMO dataset.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Studying towards a degree in Engineering, Project Management or Business Administration;
  • Knowledge of Google sheets (excel or equivalent);
  • Knowledge of project management;
  • Proactive & flexible approach;
  • Focus on continuous improvement;
  • Good written and verbal communication.

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge in coding;
  • Project management experience focusing on schedule and risk management;
  • Other language than English.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
