CONTEXT OF THE POSITION…

This position aims to serve as a key driver in enhancing and optimizing our network infrastructure, crucial to supporting our network operations inline with our expansive footprint in China. This role will bring significant value by ensuring robust, scalable, and secure network solutions that facilitate seamless connectivity and data flow across our global operations. The network engineer will play a pivotal role in aligning our infrastructure/network architecture with our strategic initiatives, ensuring resilience and efficiency in our digital transformation efforts.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Network Design and Implementation: Design, configure, and implement Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN) to meet organizational requirements, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.

Network Security: Implement and manage robust security measures across LAN, WLAN, and WAN to safeguard against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches. Regularly review and update security protocols and practices. Operations of Network security devices.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support for LAN-related technical issues, assisting end-users and other IT staff as needed. Resolve complex network problems and escalate issues when appropriate.

Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of LAN, WLAN, and WAN infrastructures. Utilize network management tools and analytics to proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure network reliability and efficiency.

Project Coordination: Work with project teams to plan and implement network solutions for new projects or changes. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet technical requirements.

Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and resolutions for management review.

Other responsibilities include: working with the design team to finalize the design and assist in implementation for new projects and service transitions.

  • Improve and optimize the daily operations.
  • Quality check to ensure the team meets the track’s SLA and quality of work. Perform impact analysis to determine the severity level of an incident or problem, lead investigation and diagnosis to identify the root cause, review possible workarounds or resolutions and bring them to a satisfactory closure. Simplification of Network Connections between various WAN sites and internal LAN traffic Flow
  • Coordinate with various teams supporting different IT verticals to integrate the FW implementation.
  • Work closely with the central team to adapt/implement up to date network infrastructure based on cutting edge technologies according to the standards. Creation of Project Documents such as Project Plan, ARD, Configuration Dossier,Operation Manual, HLD and LLD.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation, Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.

QUALIFICATION

1. EDUCATION: with Bachelor degree, in Computer Science, Information Technology or Networking Major.

2. EXPERIENCE: 5 year experience in network engineering/support domain. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network environments.

3. CERTIFICATION:

Arista Certified Network Engineer (ACNE) or equivalent certification preferred.

Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Aruba Networking Certified Expert - Campus Access Mobility (ACX-CAM) or similar certification preferred.

Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent certification is a strong plus.

Other relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are a plus

4. LANGUAGE: fluent English both in written and oral speaking

5. KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Expert knowledge of Arista network products, including switches, routers, and network management tools.
  • Extensive experience with Aruba wireless solutions, including access points, controllers, and network management systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto NGFWs, including security policies, threat prevention, and VPNs.
  • Deep understanding of VXLAN for network virtualization, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with EVPN for Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN services, including integration with MPLS and other network technologies.
  • Strong grasp of networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.).
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.

6. ABILITIES:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
