A vacancy has arisen for a "Lab Test Means Integration Engineer” within Airbus Defence & Space to be based on Getafe site in Spain. The successful candidate will join the department and will be integrated into a multidisciplinary team, covering the Design and Build, and Integration of the Laboratory Test Means used by all programs of Defense and Space.

The main activities of a Lab Test Means Integration Engineer are related with delivering technical solutions in integration and support of design, manufacturing and maintenance of test assets:

  • Electrical / Electronic design of Test Benches from System Architecture.
  • Interfacing with external partners and suppliers and communicating with corresponding stakeholders in design reviews, test report and Project follow-up meetings.
  • Problem Report solving and Change Request (modification) implementation.
  • HW/SW integration for test benches.
  • Test facilities management and maintenance.
  • On Site Acceptance test with customers (Internal or External).

Associated competencies to main activities are:

· Systems requirement challenging.

· Criteria for systems segregation· Definition of systems component position· Components selection, specification and practical application.

· Selection of Manufacturing Technologies· Assembly and Maintainability instructions· Production and Service Support concurring.

· Documents revision & edition· KPI Generation, Documentation Plan & Status Report.

· Design Manual and Design Principles contributing.

· Design & Product improvement activities· Support cross-program configuration control and cross-functional procedures:

Required Competences & Skills:

- Degree in Aeronautical,Telecommunications, Automation & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

- Knowledge & experience in Autocad, Altium designer or other electrical /electronic tool (Experience on Capital or Dassault 3DX will be a plus), as well as the usual back office tools (MS Office, etc.).

- Abilities to accept delegation.

- Problem solving and decision making.

- Open minded and active to new challenges.

- Motivated, proactive and team dynamic player.

- Committed in their own development to learn new skills

- Fluent in Writing and Spoken English (B2 level or higher), knowledge of German or French will be appreciated.

Desired Competences & Skills:

  • Knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in work linked to Aeronautical projects.
  • Knowledge of Airbus processes & procedures (SAP, DMS).
