In order to support the Facility Management & Real Estate department, Airbus Commercial is looking for a
Head of Buildings & Construction Management (d/f/m)
In our company, you will lead technically and disciplinary 8 teams at different locations within Germany with around 80 people. Together, you will ensure the smooth and economical execution of all construction projects at our production sites in Germany. Your area of responsibility also includes major projects at our global locations (e.g. USA, China). The focus here is on our aircraft assembly and logistics.

Your tasks and responsibilities
You are fully responsible for the buildings & construction management in Germany as well as the management of major international projects worldwide
You examine the requirements of internal customers as well as their assessment and comparison with the strategic goals of the company
You participate in applications for investment projects in close cooperation with internal customers from purchasing and finance
You determine project goals including compliance with quality, legal regulations and occupational safety
You carry out extensive official approval procedures in connection with construction projects
You control construction projects in terms of cost, time and quality from the determination of requirements through to completion and handover to the user/operator
You develop decision templates and status reports
You focus on continuous improvement within your organization and your processes
You manage personnel planning and development
You are responsible for budget and costs
Desired skills and qualifications
You hold a university degree in civil/ industrial/ mechanical engineering, architecture or similar
You have min. 5 years of international project management experience (e.g. USA, China, worldwide) in the building and construction area, including budget and costs responsibilities
You have several years of leadership experience in conformity with ethics & compliance guidelines and corporate values
You are able to integrate different or conflicting objectives and set priorities, including making and implementing overarching project decisions
You could already proof your very good communication and stakeholder management skills internally and externally (construction site, management and authority level)
You enjoy taking a high degree of ownership within international and multifunctional teams
You are known for your high self-motivation and ability to motivate your team
You are fluent in English and German
You are willing to travel within Germany, in Europe and worldwide (China, USA)
