About us:

Amazing opportunity to join Airbus Facilities Management and Real Estate (FMRE UK) team in Bristol.

We are looking for a Facility Management Electrical Engineer to Join technical facilities services team primarily at Filton with frequent visits to our D&S site in Newport South Wales.

There will be opportunities to interface and work across other UK sites and in some areas network with your equivalent transnational peers to ensure best practices and consistent service levels.

What you will be doing:

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Ensure the delivery of electrical services via the service providers to the Airbus sites;

  • Providing technical support into capital and maintenance projects and operational asset performance ensuring all legal and H&S Compliance;

  • Manage maintenance of suppliers and measure their performance to ensure delivery on time, quality and cost;

  • The role is for electrical skills in infrastructure;

  • You shall provide support with specialist electrical engineering advice to the wider Facilities Management and Real Estate project teams to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practices;

  • Airbus has strong sustainability objectives of which Facilities Management and Real Estate have a key role in ensuring the infrastructure, controls and objectives are supported;

  • Identify and agree Key Performance Indicators, such as maintenance induced downtime or response to breakdown, to report to customer representatives;

  • Identify and support the implementation of energy and carbon emission, as well as continuous improvement projects to support the Airbus Sustainability objectives.

Requirements:

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Studying towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent;

  • The ability to listen, understand and communicate information;

  • The desire to work in a technical team environment;

  • A strong interest in developing yourself;

  • Interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems;

  • Able to make decisions based on evidence.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
