Within the Digital function, the Governance and Transformation department plays a key transversal role in enabling the Digital Transformation, from FRAMING - expressing strategic intentions and defining simple, flexible and scalable frames - to SUPPORTING Domains and PSL’s while ensuring alignment between functions and divisions as well as the interface with all central functions - and STEERING through by providing insightful reports and fact based recommendations.
In India, the Digital Strategy, Governance & Transformation team is responsible for promoting synergies between multiple domains across Airbus worldwide with a flexible and adaptable approach which helps in sharing best practices, architecture, innovation, operational excellence and being efficient with cost, quality and time.
In this context, the Export Control Team works with the business export control point of contacts (EPoC’s) and Legal teams across different regions to render their expertise and guide the projects and stakeholders in adhering to the requirements as per the laid out processes and the applicable regulations.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Export control leader who is not shy to speak up to support the teams in deploying and adhere to export control processes and regulations.
About our Quality and Process management team :
The Team is under the Digital Strategy, Governance and Transformation department in the Digital function. The team will be working closely with the departments of Engineering & PLM Solutions, Digital Operations & ERP solutions and Digital Cyber security.
Your role :
As an Export control Specialist for the Digital, you are responsible for :
Supporting the process deployment in Digital perimeter
Reinforcing the Compliance mindset within the Projects and PSLs (Product Service Lines) in our ways of working all along the lifecycle activities
Ensuring compliance with national & global export control regimes and support internal and external PSLs or Projects audits
Promoting Company wide initiatives such as Quality, Compliance and Safety First
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensuring compliance with Export Control regulations for all Airbus India Information Management Work Packages and related data transfer from Europe to India and India to Europe with support from the Legal team. This applies the same manner to the USA, Canada, Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions
Managing and actively supporting the Application Owners in the process of Export control data classification, Risk assessment and Risk elimination / mitigation
Supporting the legal team in setting up and updating standard processes and procedures for Export Control in India.
Ensuring the availability of required licenses for data export and import by supporting the European legal team (LOEO) and Indian legal & compliance team
Providing guidance/expertise for a proper business use of the data and for data related projects
Report to the Leadership team / Management on the status of Export Control Compliance
Supporting the Implementation of mandatory Export Control training for Airbus India Information Management function.
Support all export control Audits
Supporting the digital & information management teams on implementation and on adherence to the GDPR and PDP bill.
Effective conflict navigator who knows how to help teams not only deal, but also learn from conflict
Required Professional Experience:
A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field with
8-12 years of IT experience.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Export control
Required technical skills :
Good knowledge of EU, US, India and the UK Export Control regulations
Good understanding of general data management
knowledge of Digital Technologies and softwares
Preferable in Aviation / Aerospace Firms, IT or Digital Technology firms.

An active listener who can help remove individual blocks through active listening & powerful questioning

For the local activities / needs to support teams locally, it is mainly with customer feedback and individual stakeholder feedback.
For the large / transverse initiatives, it will be supported with objectives defined by stakeholders / sponsors and feedback collected based on the collective objectives.
