As the Technical Leader in Export Control & Privacy at Airbus Protect, you are part of the Technical Office team of our Cybersecurity Consulting business unit. You’ll play a central role regarding the evolution and delivery of our export control & data privacy consulting services. Guiding and coordinating a team of consultants and technical advisors in the area of export control and data privacy, you are the technical authority of Airbus Protect in this area and are involved in all strategic aspects of developing our business when related to your domain of expertise. Our location is just a stone's throw away from Munich, the beautiful state capital of Bavaria. Do you like sports and other outdoor activities? The Alps and Lake Starnberg are just an hour away and offer a wide range of leisure activities.
If you wish, your place of work can also be flexibly determined between our locations within Germany, provided the company agrees. These are as follows: Ottobrunn (Munich area), Donauwörth, Friedrichshafen, Cologne, Finkenwerder (Hamburg). If the company agrees, the specified location will be agreed in writing in your employment contract when you are hired.

Your tasks:
Provide technical leadership to a transnational and interdisciplinary team of more than 60 export control and data privacy consultants and technical advisors
Serve as our technical authority in export control and data privacy, providing expert guidance and insights to the teams and clients on managing compliance utilizing innovative solutions and approaches
Actively engage with external communities, attend relevant conferences, and participate in knowledge-sharing activities to stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in the field
Collaborate with the sales, marketing and business development teams to provide your substantial technical expertise during all phases of market and client engagements
Ensure the implementation of knowledge sharing, knowledge capitalisation, and continuous improvement actions for the benefit of our export control and data privacy consulting community and our clients
Develop and execute comprehensive, innovative export control and data privacy services to help our clients to manage regulatory compliance
Facilitate effective internal and external communications, ensuring that the team and clients are well-informed about regulatory developments
Lead the design and evolution of technical learning paths and the identification of technical training for export control and data privacy
Establish technical monitoring and prioritize innovation activities
Your qualification
The job requires particularly extensive knowledge and skills, which are usually provided by a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of more than four years in the field of computer science or engineering and a corresponding, particularly extensive, subject-specific additional qualification in the field of computer science and/or risk management. The total required knowledge and experience can also have been acquired in other ways
Proven very extensive experience in export control and/or data privacy, including previous leadership or supervisory roles that demonstrate your ability to provide expert guidance to a team
Proven very extensive experience in conducting regulatory compliance assessments and compliance management support
Very extensive knowledge of innovative methodologies and tools for managing compliance in export control and/or data privacy fieldsExtensive knowledge and experience of related regulations and standards such as Data privacy regulations (e.g RGPD, DMA, DSA, IA Act, and others national regulations), and Export Control regulations (military & dual use regulations from US, EU, China and others national regulations).
Ability to develop and maintain complex policies and procedures to manage regulatory compliance in the field
Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire, lead and collaborate with a transnational and interdisciplinary team of export control and data privacy consultants
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams
A proactive attitude to stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in the field
Industry certifications such as DPO certification or similar are a plus and demonstrate your commitment to professional development and your expertise in managing compliance
Excellent written and spoken German/French and English skills. German/French is a plus
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
A security clearance is required for this activity or must be issued by the responsible authorities.
