Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Drive System Design Responsible to join our Engineering departement based in Marignane, France.
You will join Transmission Design & Dynamic Systems Architecture department, which is in charge of the whole Airbus Helicopters fleet. Your missions will be operational.

Your challenge
As System Design Responsible (SDR), you will be in charge of :
- defining technical objectives of transmission systems (specification writing) ;
- following detailed design & compliance to requirements of performance, manufacturing, assembly & reliability for any design change and/or new certification ;
- managing activities in compliance with Airbus Helicopters AH applicable processes
- writing (flight and bench) tests requests & conclusions, preparing, following-up these tests ;
- certifying transmission systems (documents writing, discussions with EASA)
You will belong to a Squad organization & will be interfaced with a lot of different AH entities (stress analysis, work preparation, quality, production, lab tests, flight tests, project, configuration, airworthiness, other design offices, program, customer support...) and transmission equipments suppliers.
In order to succeed in this challenging transmission systems environment , you will use your experience within Airbus Helicopters engineering. You will also be closely supported by the whole Métiers organization (overall, design, gears & splines, bearings & freewheels, wear & phydical laws, spalling & chip detectability, sealing & TBO extension, Dynamic Systems architecture, stress analysis, lubrication & thermics), experts, CVE and TVE.
You will also have deep interactions with physical parts, whatever it is linked to production (workshops, manufacturing, assembly, MRO), bench tests or helicopters.
Your profile
- Educated to 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering.
- At least 3 years of Experience in aeronautical domain
- Synthesis spirit, rigorous
- Good communication skills
- Language Skills: Advanced level in English and negotiation level in French ; German would be a plus
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
