We are looking for recent graduates from different disciplines interested in developing their professional career in the aeronautical sector.The current context demands different ways of looking, thinking and relating.

What does this internship consists in?

Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (#DISCOVER) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.

You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to DISCOVER the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.

The start of the internship will be in early March 2025, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.

Internship Job Description:

The internship will be carried out in the Tanker, Transport and Mission Programmes – Transversal Activities department, which main objective is supporting the Programme Management in the contract execution, as defined with the different customers.

- Tasks to be carried out by the student.

Support to MRTT Acceptance and Delivery managers in the execution of aircraft acceptance and MRTT delivery to Customer processes, involving:

Participation in the preparation activities of those processes, involving the attendance to several internal (Airbus DS) meetings (design office, quality, production, customer services and programme areas) and meetings with external stakeholders (Airbus, Customers).

Follow up of actions raised during previous meetings, supporting the preparation of presentation and minutes of meeting.

Support the registration/storage of all documents generated during preparation and execution of aircraft acceptance and MRTT delivery.

Support the logistic processes linked to GAC acceptance and MRTT delivery: visit management, team definition and information gathering,…

Participation in the associated procurement processes: purchase orders requisition.

Perform Value Stream Analysis of the main C295 program transversal processes. Application of this lean management method to identify opportunities to increase our efficiency by removing or reducing the non added value activities:

Participation supporting program leadership in the configuration management forums where engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, services and procurement concurrently define what, when and how to introduce modifications in the aircraft.

Participation in the process where we review and control the costs of our program.

Participation in the process where we manage the obsolescences of our program.

Participation in the process where we manage the validation and verification process for the requirements we contractualized with our customers.

Map all the steps in the current processes mentioned above to capture the current status, the AS-IS.

Classify each of the steps to identify the non added value ones.

Propose a future optimized process for some or all the processes mapped in the two points above.

As part of the MRTT Acceptance and Delivery Management team,

The student will learn about the general governance structure at Airbus DS MRTT programmes, and how the different organisations interact and work together, under the leadership of the programme organisation.

The student will learn about the detailed tasks accomplished when accepting an aircraft for military modification and when delivering an MRTT aircraft to the final Customer. Those tasks are summarised in three main streams: quality inspections, technical checks and documentation review.

The student will have the opportunity to interact with the following organisations: engineering, manufacturing, customer services, programmes and procurement.

The student will have the opportunity to interact with external stakeholders: Airbus SAS and military MRTT Customers.

The student will learn about the specific tools and documents used during those processes.

As part of the C295 program transversal activities team:

The student will learn about the general governance structure at Airbus DS C295 programmes, and how the different organisations interact and work together, under the leadership of the programme organisation.

The student will learn about the detailed tasks when defining and implementing the configuration of military aircrafts: planning, business case analysis, project management, etc.

The student will have the opportunity to interact with the following organisations: engineering, manufacturing, customer services, finances, programmes and procurement.

The student will learn about the specific tools and documents used during those processes.

- Within which projects or areas the internship will be carried out.

The internship will be carried out in the Tanker, Transport and Mission Programmes – Transversal Activities department, which main objective is supporting the Programme Management in the contract execution, as defined with the different customers.
