We are looking for recent graduates from different disciplines interested in developing their professional career in the aeronautical sector.The current context demands different ways of looking, thinking and relating.


What does this internship consists in?


Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (#DISCOVER) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.
You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to DISCOVER the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.
The start of the internship will be in early March 2025, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.


Internship Job Description:


In the Logistics Engineering Department, we define and implement the distribution solution of all the products used to assemble an AC in the Airbus Getafe Plant. What does all this mean?


We are the main interface between operational functions such as manufacturing engineering, production, production scheduler, and supply officer to ensure the delivery of the right part, with the right logistics mean, at the right time at the PoU and in compliance with safety, operating procedures and current standards.


Therefore, we are responsible for continuous improvement of logistics activities for a station/ unit/ plant and we lead and contribute to Supply & Demand cross-functional and/or transnational improvement projects.


The main activities to support the Logistics Engineering Department in Getafe are:


Design and implementation of the optimized distribution solutions.
Support AOS maturity development by providing inputs.
Escalate issues impacting Logistics and/or Production activities.
Collect new needs from other functions & inform Production about Logistics impacts.
Distribution solutions adaptations if manageable at his/her level (physical & information flows).
Manage & prevent logistics disruptions.
Contribute to design and maintain the specific logistics means.
Contribute to design and implementation of the most optimized logistics solutions.
Provide advice and assistance to the shopfloor in order to upskill them on physical flows issues
Create work specifications in case of new activities and follow them.
Create or contribute to creation of training material, and perform training.
Ensure compliance with processes.
Manage outsourced activities (Work specifications, follow-up of deliverables…) .


In summary, in this internship you will first be able to learn how distribution logistics is carried out from an End to End approach and you will have the possibility of collaborating with the different workshop support functions, expanding your knowledge of the productive environment.

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Bch/Master Degree in engineering (aerospace, industrial, mechanical)
- English: fluent negotiation level

- Spanish: fluent negotiation level
- General knowledge in Google Suite and Lean Manufacturing
