Job Description:

System V&V Engineer As a System verification & validation Engineer, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and technical support to queries coming in from flights in operation as well as interfacing engineering teams, on various aircraft programs. This role will be part of the Design Office working on Air-Traffic Management and Operations related topics.

The various activities to be performed are:

  • Strong background in development, system engineering or V&V of the ATSU/Datalink Systems.
  • Understanding of the system requirements and ability to perform System V&V activities on the simulation benches using the Airbus Simulation Framework.
  • Actively work with the system designers, the lab testing teams during the V&V campaigns of the system across multiple aircraft programs.
  • Understand, analyze the system design, respond to system related technical queries (in service occurrences, observations, etc.) raised by the customers (airlines, other system design offices, simulator manufacturers, etc.) in a timely manner (for e.g. very short lead times for AOG situations)
  • Analysis of the in-service queries to identify potential impact (airworthiness, reliability, cost, etc.), launching the necessary actions to identify the root causes and following up on the corrective actions or product development by the design offices or suppliers.
  • Attend technical meetings with different stakeholders (customer services teams, system designers, suppliers, etc.)
  • Providing Engineering support to other Customer Services departments, ensuring transfer of in-service experience and maintenance activities to the management, to other divisions of customer Services and Airbus design organization including vendors.

Required Education: B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E., with experience in the aerospace industry. Electronics & Communication background is preferred.

Required skills and expertise:-

  • Extensive background in development, system engineering or V&V of the avionics systems.
  • Knowledge of basic aircraft avionics systems
  • Strong knowledge of processes, standards and system engineering norms
  • Good decision making ability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
