INTRODUCTION OF CROSS PLANT ME:

This position aims to act as prime Manufacturing Engineering focal point between XP customer (FAL /C&DC) and Airbus Plants & subcontracted suppliers. Manage workshare towards forward fuselage, rear fuselage, Other MCAs. Act as executor to prepare and manage the late QSR/ DQN/ Late-MOD, handle the Out of Sequence Work (OSW) and NCs on behalf of the Airbus plants during quality gate review, evaluation of the drawing and specification requirement, carry out technical disposition and coordinate with other support functions and Suppliers in order to secure on-time delivery. In addition, support of complex constraints on FAL critical path (e.g., Power-on / Hydraulic release, Fuel test, etc.) and customer findings.

This role requires a normal day & late shift work, in case of industrial crisis, it may require work in the night shifts when necessary.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Client related activities

  • Responsibilities in managing both internal and external customers, and ensuring there is effective customer relationship management

  • Act as XP Manufacturing Engineering Focal Point between XP Customers (FAL-A | C&DC | ATDC), Suppliers (8 Plants | FAL-T) & subcontracted WPs & Suppliers,

  • Participate to daily XP review meetings (SQCDP, etc…) as well as to quality gate handover meeting (Section Handover meeting, SHO) with Plants, FAL and flight line,

  • Organize regular feedbacks with all Plants,

  • Compile & distribute daily/weekly/monthly Manufacturing Engineering reports to H/O XP Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Operational activities

  • Responsibilities in running the day-to-day operations, and ensuring there is effective use of resources to achieve all the targets set

  • Take charge of OSW and NC Analysis during SHO,

  • Take charge of technical disposition of NC / QLB / ALB / QSR/ Concession, creation of dedicated Work Order / Logistics order / Drawing analysis,

  • Prepare Parachevement (eg: activity transferred to ATFAC) and obtain PARA from supplier if needed,

  • Production shopfloor technical support on all ATAs,

  • Deliver according to priorities set by H/O XP Manufacturing Engineering,

  • Carry out technical investigations and coordinate with other support functions (e.g. FAL ME, MAP) and Suppliers (Plant, subcontractors ...) until NC final closure,

  • Manage complex constraints on FAL critical path (e.g., Power-on / Hydraulic release, Fuel test etc.),

  • Support for jigs & tooling selection,

  • Correct filling and updating of ACPNG tool in accordance with XP Ops needs,

  • Participate actively to SQCDP/ME operational meetings, reporting & communicate between All Airbus Plants and H/O XP Manufacturing Engineering,

  • Work in shifts (day/late/night shift), provide weekend on call support when necessary.

  • Developmental activities

  • Responsibilities in managing the people resources for the division or department and ensure continuous people development

  • Support, train & develop, provide Knowledge Transfer and tutoring to Manufacturing Engineering newcomers,

  • Share lessons learnt & support XP multi-Program Operations,

  • Ensure on-time escalation of problems to H/O XP Manufacturing Engineering, complete projects and/or other task assigned by line manager.

  • Operational Outputs

  • XP ME objectives achieved,

  • XP ME performances analyzed & corrective actions, improvements in place.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Education

-Aeronautics education. Engineer equivalent degree.

  • Experience

-3~5 years’ in Aviation industry, with experience in multi-functional teams & subcontracted activities management.

  • Basic Skills

-Be fluent in English. French and/or German knowledge would be a plus.

  • Certifications

-NIL.

  • Soft Skills

-Ability to work in an international team, with people from various cultural backgrounds, and across organizational borders,

-Agility & reliability: proactive thinking & acting. Be an innovative & autonomous problem solver,

-Ability to work under pressure,

-Customer minded with good communication & well-developed negotiation skills.

  • Technical Skills

- Aircraft specifications & 2D drawing

- tools such as SAP, ACPnG, @AirNav, CIRCE, IBM...
