CNC Milling Operator

Job Description:

Perform metallic machining such as cutting, forming, pressing.

Perform metallic fitting and rework.

Responsibilities:

• Required to perform own setups as per the program directives.

• Expected to use shims, blocks, supports, and fixtures on irregular shaped surfaces to obtain proper alignment.

• Importance on avoiding moving, shifting, springing or breakage of parts or machine during the machining process.

• Locating work on tables and fixtures in relationship to established reference surfaces and datum’s is required.

• Use of dial indicators, surface gauges, levels, the machines probing systems and other equipment is required.

• Ability to follow and interpret drawings, processes, programs, shop orders and instructions is required.

• The ability to work with CNC machine controls as needed.

• Checking and inspecting work as necessary to ensure adherence to drawing specifications, program directives, and quality standards.

• The use of various hand tools and hand operated power tools to debur parts during machining operations is required. Related secondary functions such as drilling, countersinking, tapping and the removal of broken taps or drills in finished parts at times may be required.

• The ability to work well in a team environment and willingness to help others is required.

• Maintain specified records of work performed, material processed, and any changes made to any program is required.

• Train and instruct skilled personnel on the setup and operation of CNC machines

• Develop visual work instructions for machining operations

• measure the products with GOM measurement cell

Qualifications &Abilities:

• High school or above with mechanical automation related major

• Have good interpersonal skills.

• Be fluent in English.

• Be organized, rigorous.

• With good computer skills

• Having ceiling crane certificate is a plus

• Having good experience related to aircraft is a plus.

Outputs:

• Complete the tasks assigned by project leader

• Successfully set up Corner fittings milling center (machineries/fixtures are ready, mechanics are well trained)
