Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Business Logistics Analyst to join our team based in Grand Prairie, TX.

The Business Logistics Analyst will design financial models for complex business plans, perform financial analysis of financial statements (BS, P&L, FCF, gearing, liquidity etc) and provide credit rating assessment and financial viability to management. Evaluate internal rate of return and/ or provide valuation of business cases, Advice and challenge stakeholders to maximize shareholder value while mitigating risks. Review and analyze M&A deals and major commercial deals, identify and assess risks, run some sensitivity analysis, provide recommendations to the top management and contribute to the sell or purchase decision process.

Your challenges:

CLS Analytical Support: 45%

  • Develop robust and open working relationships with key business and operational partners enabling the free flow of business-critical information.

  • Provide variance analysis and explanations for actual vs. plan and expected results on historical program data in coordination with the Accounting and other departments.

  • Translate financial information into usable and relevant operational information to drive performance through implementable actions.

  • Provide and communicate quantitative & qualitative data to support and facilitate business decision making.

  • Offer advice and support whilst still maintaining the empowerment to challenge the business.

  • Lead the Flight Hour Rate reconciliation process and provide the vital reports. Work cross functionally to support the PBH process and implement improvements.

Costing Activities: 40%

  • Back up to the Sr. Business Analyst

  • Back up to the Travel Analyst

  • Support Over and Above (O&A) / CFT proposal request

  • Ensure clarity and understanding of financial drivers and their impact on the cost base, margin and cash performance of the business and products.

  • Document and support the review of business case assumptions, costs, gross margins, etc.

CLS Reporting: 15%

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls for proper reporting.

  • Support decision making processes by conducting ad-hoc analysis as needed

  • Participate in overall program efficiency through ongoing process automation and refinement

Education:

Required:

  • High school or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Aerospace related field or Analytics

Experience:

Required:

  • 6 months of data analytics or 4 years of professional level work experience in an aviation company

Preferred:

  • Three (3) years in Aerospace supporting military programs.

  • Two (2) years of business analytics / logistics experience.

Licensure/Certifications:

Travel Required:

  • 5% Domestic and International

Citizenship:

  • US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance

  • Professional written, presentation, and verbal communication

  • Evaluating and interpreting contracts, data work products, and procedures

  • A high level of integrity and an understanding of the importance of protecting the interests of the company while also assuring customer satisfaction is essential

  • Ability to understand financial statements

  • Experience with Performance Based Logistics Support Contracts for the US Government
