Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a AutoFlight System Designer (f/m) to join our team AutoFlight System based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team of approx 35 people. The Auto Flight System group covers all Airbus aircraft, as well as innovative projects heading towards Autonomous Flight.

Your challenges:

For the Auto Flight System from preliminary design up to certification:

  • Deliver detailed specification using formal specification tools (SAO/SCADE). As such you will be responsible for the delivery on time, cost and quality of your design that will be integrated in the flight control system, shared with flight control laws and handling qualities
  • Present and justify your design, its performance and limitations in front of flight tests engineers/pilots, experts and other team members
  • Ensure validation and verification activities and their traceability
  • follow in-service events, reported by Airbus customer support or by the pilots, contributing to a key part of the continuous Airworthiness activities


Your boarding pass:

  • Real-Time Embedded System Engineering background with experience in Requirement-Based or Model-Based System Engineering
  • Flight controls and/or auto flight systems knowledge will be a plus
  • Formal specification tools and languages (e.g. SCADE) would be a strong asset
  • Team player, fast learner and autonomous. Able to pay close attention to detail while also seeing the ‘bigger picture’
  • Ability to interface with many different stakeholders, from different domains, functions, and cultures
  • Language skills:

# Negotiation level of English

# Conversational French will be a real plus for this role
