We are looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Manual Engineer (m/f) for our Commercial Aircraft business to join our Customer Services department based in Toulouse, France.

As an Aircraft Maintenance Manual Engineer, you will be part of Airbus Customer Services department and more specifically part of the Technical Documentation team.

Airbus Customer Services Technical Documentation develops, delivers and supports aircraft maintenance documentation directly used by the customers (airlines, MRO, lessors).

It enables the safe and efficient accomplishment of maintenance operations all along its life cycle, in accordance with airworthiness requirements and regulations (ICA).

Customer Services Technical Documentation team is organised in 3 authoring Domains including the System domain.

It is a large transnational (FR, GE, SP, UK, IN) organisation with "Authoring teams" in charge of all A/C Systems, mirroring the Engineering organisation.

Customer Services Technical Documentation team in France is in charge of the following systems:

  • Avionics (ATA23, 31, 34, 42, 45 & 46 + ESLD)

  • Flight Controls (ATA22, 27)

  • Engines and Nacelles (ATA7x & 80)

  • Electrics (ATA24 & 91 + ESPM) & Protection Systems (ATA26 & 30)

The opened position is a transverse position, therefore you will have the opportunity to be allocated to the 4 different teams (changing every 6 months) allowing to improve your knowledge on the different Systems.

It is a unique opportunity where you will be able to change perimeters therefore to have an overview of the avionics systems.

Your challenges:

The main team's duty is to ensure that the maintenance manuals reflects the design changes and to understand the immediate impact of these changes on customers' operations, with the objective to provide customised documentation in accordance with aircraft configuration.

In order to accomplish these activities, we are :

  • interfacing directly with the Design Office that manages the systems design and evolutions,

  • documenting their impact in the manuals and

  • supporting our customers who are operating and maintaining aircraft Systems.

Your mission will be to undertake this challenge in order to fully answer customer's maintenance needs. For this mission, you won't be alone ! There will be a team with you providing support and expertise.

You will be accountable for the following activities:

  • Analysis of Design Office Information (drawings & design modifications) to define their impact in the maintenance documentation

  • Monitoring and steering of subcontracted activities

  • Delivering documentation content (creation and updates) in accordance with specifications, contractual commitments (ICA), approved schedules, quality standards and within budget objectives,

  • Ensuring Customer efficient support by answering to customer queries relative to your scope of activities and implementation of documentation changes if necessary.

For this mission, you will have the opportunity to create an efficient link with Engineering and Suppliers and to work in close cooperation with numerous other interfaces: Airlines, Customer Services departments, Design Offices, Subcontractors…
