The CRYOPROP Superconducting Technologies for DC Distribution (M/F) internship is within Airbus UpNext' CRYOPROP team.

This internship will ideally begin in February (date subject to flexibility), and will last for a period of 4 to 6 months.

Mission

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Basic Thermo Electrical Simulations (COMSOL Multiphysics) of Cryogenic Current Leads and Heat Exchangers

  • Assisting on the assembly of multiple experiments in cryogenic environment

  • Data acquisition and data analysis of experimental results (Python, Matlab, or similar )

  • Compare the performance of superconducting cables to conventional technologies

You will work very closely cross-functionally with the Airbus Teams, as well as external stakeholders. You have great collaborative skills, with a good understanding of interface management and practical problem solving.
