We are now recruiting an Accounts Payable Master Data Management Team Leader for Airbus GBS.

​As the Team Leader for Master Data Management (MDM) at Airbus, you will lead and guide a team responsible for the Vendor Master Data maintenance across multiple legal entities within various Airbus divisions. This role combines leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on expertise in MDM to ensure that data governance, compliance, and quality standards meet Airbus' high standards for data accuracy and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities - your mission

The main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, mentor, and support the team to ensure high performance, collaboration, and professional growth.

  • Oversee supplier master data maintenance, ensuring adherence to Corporate Master Data Guidelines and Internal Controls to prevent fraud attempts.

  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and other stakeholders to enhance MDM processes and drive efficiencies.

  • Support MDM-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Implement data governance practices, including regular data cleansing and validation, to maintain data accuracy and integrity.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for MDM policies and processes, adhering to country and company regulations.

  • Manage vendor relationships, guiding the team in data validation and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Act as an escalation point for internal queries, providing guidance on MDM requests and issues.

  • Identify fraud risks and implement preventive measures to safeguard data integrity.

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • At least 5 Year experience in Master Data Management, including 2 Year experience in a leadership role, preferably in a multinational environment.

  • Expertise in SAP FI/CO or other ERP systems, with solid understanding of MDM impact on business processes

  • Knowledge of data governance principles, compliance, and fraud prevention.

  • Proven team leadership skills with the ability to balance day-to-day operations with strategic initiatives.

  • Strong problem-solving ability, with a focus on data accuracy and compliance.

  • Creative skills with ability to craft tailored solutions to meet the wide range of business needs across the organization.

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization.

  • Flexibility and capacity to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
