Purpose

We’re a communications agency that’s your one-stop shop for both creative medical copywriting and technical medical writing.

Word Monster is all about making messages stick. Our writers have a unique blend of medical copywriting and medical writing experience with the power to change behaviour. We call this 'Write With Bite'.

About us

We can help you with every aspect of healthcare advertising and medical communications we love supporting with brand positioning, campaign generation, competitor awareness and tactic brainstorming. Or if you’ve already laid the strategic groundwork then we can craft those materials of yours: adverts, video scripts, e-detail aids and patient leaflets right through to websites, symposia slides and advisory board reports.

Flexible working approach

We live a life-first culture. Our team work whenever, however and wherever they like. We’re an enormous fan of freedom in the workplace, so there are only three rules:

1) Write With Bite (so we do great work and continue to build our reputation)

2) Write for 7.5 hours of project work every day, and no more [unless you’re particularly keen for paid overtime] (so we get paid)

3) Keep our clients happy (so we continue to get paid)

We're 100% remote. We'll never have an office. We travel the country throughout the year for fun, joint-working meetups.

Benchmarking score

Scoring against our flexibility index (1 = not at all flexible, 100 = couldn’t be more flexible, 51 is average) using a number of parameters to assess flexibility such as working from home, hours, frequency of travel, benefits, etc.

94%

Employee benchmarking score

Scoring against our employee perception index (1 = not seen as flexible, 100 = couldn’t be happier with the flexibility, 51 is average) using a number of more emotional / perception based questions to understand whether employees feel supported and offered what they want. The areas we cover are work-life balance / managerial support / flexible benefits / working environment / and many others.

"I've worked for remote companies before but never have I worked for any organisation that truly offers flexible working to the extent that Word Monster does. For the first time in my entire career I truly feel like I have work-life balance and I am grateful for this each and every day."

What do we think of Word Monster?

Word Monster came bursting on to our scene with an exceptional Employer benchmarking score and went on to provide an equally impressive showing in their Anonymous Employee benchmark thereafter. But the real stand out part of their accreditation were the continuous stream of anonymously written personal accounts from the employees. I don't think we've ever had almost every employee surveyed from an organisation each write us a a substantial paragraph on why they love their place-of-work. It's truly a rare account. Any potential candidates who meet the requirements for a role here should not hesitate to apply.
