About us

Spinks have been around for over 30 years. We started off in 1989, in the early days of IT recruitment and, we have since grown and evolved alongside our tech partners.

We specialise in finding top talent for the start-up and scale-up communities. This can include varying roles from DevOps, to Frontend and Backend Engineers to Project Managers, C-Suite positions, CTOs and Sales people.

We also have our Spinks on Site embedded solution. Our in-house team can be live in any business within 5 days and effortlessly hire multiple people so, that quickly scaling organisations can have the teams they need to fuel their success.

Spinks also like to share the experience and expertise we have gained in the last 30 years. So, alongside our start-up and scale-up partners, we release regular white papers addressing key business areas (e.g. The Importance of Diversity and Inclusion, How to Onboard People Well and more). We also share videocasts, online panel discussions, as well as many D&I events throughout the year.

Flexible working at Spinks

Spinks adopted and has been a flexible place to work since 2012. We were keen to support different lifestyles and personal needs so, we introduced flexible working as a trial initially. We wanted to test whether it would work in practice and truly give people a better work-life balance.

It has now been 10 years, and we can safely say, we haven't looked back! Everyone at Spinks has the opportunity to balance their life with work, be supported by our flexible teams (irrespective of where they choose to work from) and still get fulfilment from their roles. We now also have some people working fully remote.

We have office spaces in London, Birmingham and Manchester (new offices coming soon!), shared Microsoft Teams chats, so that we can all stay connected, and we welcome cross-office visits. In short, we see Spinks as a family and we do our best to make sure our family community stays connected.

Approach to diversity & inclusion

Spinks has its very own #YouEqualTech community. We are massive advocates of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, so much so, we set up our own D&I brand and community.

We created #YouEqualTech in 2011, for CEO, founders, talent partners, business leaders, tech professionals, students, teachers and parents. It's aim – to help everyone keep up-to-speed with the latest news and advice on D&I practices and help our start-up and scale-up partners understand how they can take steps towards creating a more inclusive technology sector.

We collaborate with businesses and experts within the space to help share insights and tips on how to achieve a more diverse and inclusive tech space.
