Primer is the world's first open payments infrastructure, enabling e-commerce merchants to build the payments experiences their customers demand without compromising on flexibility. This is a huge paradigm shift in the world of online payments, and we're looking for innovative folks to help us build and scale Primer globally.
Flexible working approach
We are globally-distributed and remote first so we are able to hire people from all over the world. As such, we have flexible working hours and unlimited PTO where we trust people to deliver on work committed and we don't monitor time 'in office' or 'OOO'. We also support visas in certain circumstances. Our current benefits include workstation and home office budget, access to company card to use when necessary (events, outings, team lunches, learning materials) and we offer a whole series of rewards for certain performances, like winning Taco prize of the week :) We may be remote, but we're not alone - socialisation outside and inside of 'working hours' and being in various clubs is a big part of our DNA.
Scoring against our flexibility index (1 = not at all flexible, 100 = couldn’t be more flexible, 51 is average) using a number of parameters to assess flexibility such as working from home, hours, frequency of travel, benefits, etc.

Scoring against our employee perception index (1 = not seen as flexible, 100 = couldn’t be happier with the flexibility, 51 is average) using a number of more emotional / perception based questions to understand whether employees feel supported and offered what they want. The areas we cover are work-life balance / managerial support / flexible benefits / working environment / and many others.
"Some people like to work early, other during the night, or even the weekend. What really matters is what we deliver, not how we work. In times of deadline and high-throughput, it's a bit hard to maintain this flexibility: we kind of need to be there all the time. But hopefully for us, these times are really not that common (~once per quarter). We also have an unlimited vacation policy which enables us to leave whenever we want. For that: communication is key - only you and your team know if it's the right time for you to leave. I really like that we bring the decision closer to the team, but 99% of the time: if an employee needs/wants to leave, they can do so."
