The FlexScore® is the result of a rigorous 2-step verification of a company’s flexibility
First we assess the flexibility options Planes provides and then we anonymously survey a statistically significant proportion of their employees to make sure Planes is as flexible as they say they are. Our assessment is based on the six key elements of flexibility: location, hours, autonomy, benefits, role modelling and work-life balance.
We ask the hard questions so you don’t have to.

What employees are saying
"We're a start-up, which means sometimes, we work hard and long hours, but at Planes, the hard work is always balanced by the team and leadership making sure you get time to rest after a hard slog. That's the biggest difference between where I've worked previously; I'm always allowed to get time back on the days I've worked extra. It makes a big difference to both my well-being but also my mood! I feel rewarded."

Careers at Planes
About us
Planes is a digital product studio based in London. We’re a team of product managers, designers and developers who care about creating awesome digital products that are built to last.
Startups, scaleups and corporates choose us to take their product or business idea from zero to one. We test their idea and prototype, then design, build and launch their product, whether that’s an app or website.
We work in small, cross-functional teams to bring product ideas to life across the entire product lifecycle, from proposition to launch and beyond. Think of us as a product team ready to hire.
Flexible working at Planes
Flexible working at Planes is something we pride ourselves on having. We have a flexible approach to working: when we work, where we work, and how we work. We do this through flexible hours, allowing our team to decide where they work from, and by designing our benefits to be inclusive. We have enhanced parental leave, the ability to take an extra month of unpaid holiday, a work from anywhere policy, paid compassionate leave, a personal learning and development budget, as well as a company-wide budget to focus on D&I, feedback and sustainability. We want our team to feel that they can design their weeks, allowing them to choose to be in the studio, or spend more of their time working from home.
Approach to diversity & inclusion
We’re embedding DEI initiatives throughout the business, including our hiring practices where we pay for take-home tasks and pause hiring for roles until we have diverse representation at each stage. Diversity and inclusion is at the heart of the training and talks we do as a team: we’ve run unconscious bias and inclusive design training, and we organise talks from a wide range of speakers on global issues outside of our industry. We also have a DEI initiative group leading our team surveys and outreach.

What do we think of Planes?
Planes recently went through the re-accreditation, committing to Flexibility for a second year. Scoring 88% on their second survey. More impressive was that the employees agreed that Planes were incredibly flexible with a matching score of 88% too. Rarely do we have an exact match!
If you're looking for a flexible business that the employees love, Planes is the business for you.
