What LEWIS employees think

The business is always looking at improving the working environment, whether this is more benefits, training, automony or flexible working hours/locations. The business is working hard to evolve and makes sure everyone is bought in and aligned to the vision we have for success. We're also working hard on our ESG roadmap and are currently Net Zero/Carbon Neutral and are focusing on Social and Governance in 2023.

LEWIS provides much more flexibility than other businesses in our industry. I love the freedom I'm given to work when I'm at my best and I believe that trust gives our whole team that extra incentive to do well.

The best thing about working at LEWIS is getting the opportunity to mould your own role within the company and being trusted to deliver work flexibly, without being micro-managed or checked-up on too much. The business cares about getting the best out of its people and nurturing talent.

About us

We’re a creative team with the sharpest technical skills. We’re strategic planners with a human touch. We’ve delivered high profile work for half a century, yet kept relatively anonymous.

Making marketing matter
Our goal is to work at the heart of every great business, and make them even greater, by doing what we love to do.

Made to last
From our relationships with our clients to the work we do for them, we make sure that what we build together will stand the test of time.

Fully autonomous
As an independent agency, we’ll always value reputation over revenue. We answer to our clients, not shareholders. So when you come and work with us, you'll have the freedom to think bigger and better.

Unboxed thinking
We’re a team of boundary pushers. We’re here to help our clients take giant leaps. But we’re not fans of risk for risk’s sake. Everything we do is carefully considered to bring success for our partners (and, as a result, ourselves) in the long run.

Find your thing
Tired of the rigid corporate ladder and copy-and-paste job roles? Us too. At LEWIS, everyone gets a chance to explore what brings them joy and to build their role around what they love to do. If you’re all about empowered decision-making and a workplace that encourages unique ideas, we think you’ll love it here too.

Feel rewarded
We're all in this together so we believe in sharing success with the people who create it. Our staff benefits package is one of the best around and includes things like private medical insurance, a health cash plan and a quarterly bonus scheme, awarded every March, June, September and December when we meet our business and personal targets .

Flexible working at LEWIS

Look after yourself. Look after your colleagues. Look after your clients.

At LEWIS we know that to get the best from our people we need to give them the freedom and flexibility to work when they're at their best. We've been evolving our working approach for the past half century and we've no plans to stop anytime soon.

On the whole, we work remotely but we have two dedicted office spaces that our team are welcome to use as much or as little as they like. We do like a good old full team meet-up though so we make sure we scheudule at least one of those a month, as well as our legendary social events held every quarter.

Our 'work anytime' model has been crafted to provide flexibility but, also, ensure that we're not encouraging overworking or risking burn-out. For example, our no-working weekend policy is designed to support health, wellbeing and work decompression. Most of us will spend 90,000 hours of our lives at work. We’d prefer to spend most of those hours feeling happy - and we’re sure you would too.

Monday to Friday - Work anytime between the hours of 7am and 10pm. Split your weekly hours across either 4 or 5 days (part-time adjusted). Minimum hours per day is 3.75 and maximum is 10.5hrs.

We also believe that spending time away from work to rest and recharge with your friends and family is really important too, so we have a generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days inclusive of bank holidays (part-time adjusted) – oh, and the Company is known to throw in a cheeky few extra days most years too

Approach to diversity & inclusion

Our people are our most important assets and we work hard to ensure that they love what they do and have a positive experience as a LEWIS employee.

  • We undertake weekly, quarterly and annual staff engagement surveys to ensure regular feedback opportunities and contribution to culture and values.
  • Our team receive training budget to help inspire and develop their skills.
  • We set standards for our suppliers to ensure that they are working towards or have acceptable policies and procedures that align with our own diversity and inclusion practices.
  • 67% of our employees identify as female and 33% male. Our Leadership Team is an equal male to female identity split.
  • We employ staff from a range of locations and countries and have implemented flexible full and part-time working to accommodate individual working patterns.
  • We have a Zero Tolerance policy towards racism and discrimination and all our policies are aligned to LGBTQ+ best practices.
What do we think of LEWIS?

LEWIS has an incredible working environment that is based all around output. They're remote-first and meet a couple of times a months in person, but their whole vision is around finding what working pattern works best for YOU! A truly fabulous place to work, with excellent benefits too.

Meet who might be hiring you

Hi, I'm Kirsty! I've been part of Team LEWIS for (and I can't quite believe it myself) 18 years. My roles have varied over that time and have taken many guises from Admin, Client Services and, now, Copy and Proposition (a job I've created for myself from my love of writing and developing creative stories for brands).

You'll love it at LEWIS if you've got a real entrepreneurial spirit and if you're ambitious, free-thinking and want to avoid the pitfalls of traditional agency or corporate life. Because we're independent we can write our own rule-book, meaning the opportunities here are, literally, endless. Don't join expecting to be told exactly how to do things - we'd rather you take your time to explore and then mould a little bit of LEWIS that looks just like you.
