3–4 days per week at home
A little flex time
We’re a future focused creative consultancy, using design as a force for good.
We collaborate with companies of every size and scale, from the smallest startups to the largest global brands. All are united in their desire to do things differently. To disrupt, challenge, invent and leave legacy. Collectively, we're on a mission to Design for Better.
Flexible working approach
At The Future Collective, we're passionate about being a flexible employer.
We have an office in the Leicestershire countryside, and we encourage those who do live close by to come in to the office for 1 or 2 days a week. For those further afield, we offer 100% flexibility and a remote-first approach.
Scoring against our flexibility index (1 = not at all flexible, 100 = couldn’t be more flexible, 51 is average) using a number of parameters to assess flexibility such as working from home, hours, frequency of travel, benefits, etc.
Scoring against our employee perception index (1 = not seen as flexible, 100 = couldn’t be happier with the flexibility, 51 is average) using a number of more emotional / perception based questions to understand whether employees feel supported and offered what they want. The areas we cover are work-life balance / managerial support / flexible benefits / working environment / and many others.
"We have a great hybrid work approach with a fantastic office culture."

Approach to diversity & inclusion
Our co-founder is female, and we feel strongly about promoting diversity at all levels of the business. We are a startup, so this is not yet formalised into an initiative.
What do we think of The Future Collective?
We love The Future Collective – they were very open to our questions and super engaged in the Flexification process. As a company, they're committed to offering employees the freedom to choose how to work. This trust and empowerment of employees is fantastic, allowing them to maximise their performance by working in an environment that allows them to flourish.

Meet who might be hiring you
As a “Collective,” we have always had an extended freelance team of world-class talent, so please feel free to send through your details. This model has proved to be very powerful for our clients, as so much talent has taken a freelance path during the pandemic, and of course, delivering remotely from anywhere in the world is now the norm.
We are also always keen to develop our amazing permanent team. Before COVID-19, we set up The Future Collective to be a progressive, flexible employer, with fully remote working. As an employer, we simply want the best people, no matter where they live or what their family circumstances are. We still firmly believe that we will succeed as individuals and as a business if we can offer flexibility and a good work-life balance, but also take conscious steps to develop our culture and inspire our team.
For this reason, we do now have an office in the Leicestershire countryside, fully sustainable of course with a cafe, gym, yoga studio and walking/running routes.
We also offer enrichment days to help our teams stay inspired, curious and healthy, as well as a team retail safari each year to a key global city.
We want our team to be motivated, inspired and rewarded, so we offer good benefits, pension, a good holiday package, unlimited unpaid leave and flexibility with location and working hours.
