In a nutshell, we exist to help established businesses stay relevant, by creating products and services that deliver excellent customer experiences and growth

About us

Freestyle was born in 1996, aiming to offer something new in the agency space: a work-life balance to its employees and a desire to look after its people, who in turn, will create amazing work for our clients. Today, Freestyle is a tech-led studio that specialises in solving customer and technology problems for big businesses, through strategy, insight and product design.

Our Values

‘We not me’ – being a Freestyler isn’t just a job, it’s a mindset, and collectively we’re stronger, personally and professionally.  We live, work and play by our values.

Never Stand Still

Keep your thinking fresh and open to new directions. Go above and beyond, explore new trends, technologies and mindsets. Embrace change, try new ideas, fail fast and learn quickly.

It’s OK to be geeky. Help shape where we go next, bring passion and curiosity to the table. Make yourself an expert.

Create Success

Hit targets, goals, objectives; create a reputation for quality and commercial success, making Freestyle and our clients better businesses because of the things you do. Look beyond the everyday. Lead by example, bring solutions and inspire your fellow Freestylers to step up. Make extraordinary things happen.

Be a Good Human

Be open and kind, be brave and bold. Teamwork is fundamental for us, that means creating trust, respect towards each other and being responsible and accountable for what you say and do. Build your own resilience, look after the planet and bring the real you to work. Help make the Make Freestyle a positive and supportive place to work.

Flexible working approach

Hybrid Working ✌🏻

We’ve always offered a flexible approach to where and when our people work. We understand that not only does ‘life’ happen, but that sometimes, creativity, ideas and our best thinking don’t always happen sitting at a desk in an office.

What’s more, we understand that there are just those days when curling up in your favourite spot at home, or being surrounded by the smell of great coffee in your local coffee shop is where you do your best work.

In order to take care of your mental health and facilitate you doing your best work, whilst also maintaining a sense of community and belonging at Freestyle, we operate a 4:1 home to office ratio. Quite simply, we ask that Freestylers are in the office with their peers at least a day a week - outside of that, you can work wherever works for you!

But how Flexible are we, really? 🤔

At Freestyle, we believe that flexibility extends beyond where you work.

When you sign up to be a full-time, permanent Freestyler, you’re signing up to a 35 hour week. Our core  working hours are 9.30am - 5.30pm (which is when the majority of our clients are 'on').

Outside of that is real life, such as school runs, parent evenings, doctors appointments, team lunches and more – we understand and embrace this. All we ask is that our Freestylers treat the business with respect, show-up as adults, and communicate with clients and their peers. We’ve got a #whereabouts Slack channel to support peer to peer communication of whereabouts and a fabulous internally built Booking App (WIP!) that enables quick and easy visibility of whether Freestylers are at The Barns….or working remotely.

We also understand that for some, flexibility is about how to manage their dogs! That’s why we also offer a ‘dog friendly’ workplace and have a #dogpeople Slack channel so that dog owners can coordinate their dog whereabouts. 🐶

First and foremost, our people are always at the core of what we do here at Freestyle. We’re a really friendly bunch and we love working, collaborating (and having a laugh) together.

What’s more, we’ve fostered a culture of trust, and we believe in giving our people the autonomy to own and shape their role, and work flexibly around their personal commitments and interests.
