
IT Network Administrator
Job Description
Mission :
Manage day-to-day network operations and support, including all service request break/fix issues and the assignment of non-routine or unplanned tasks.
Installs, configures, maintains, and monitors the rollout and Cyber security compliance of switches, routers, Firewalls, any other network appliances, and associated hardware and software.
Analyses, diagnoses, and resolves network hardware and software problems or failures to all networking devices in the whole country
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Application Availability Management
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
- Analyze and identify all technical problems and provide consultation and training to help all users.
- Analyze IT network systems and ensure compliance to all IT and Vodafone Group standard practices.
- Prepare and maintain all records and files in relation to IT assets, network performance and problems.
- Assist users, communicate all IT policies to users, and ensure user compliance.
- Develop and facilitate various initiatives to develop user compliance activities.
- Analyze and resolve problems.
- Ensure network security and connectivity
- Daily health check as per the agreed standard operating procedure
- Business Continuity Management
- Perform patching, hardening, remediation of discovered vulnerabilities and automated deployments on Network devices
- Responsible for incident management as it relates to the Network device infrastructure
- Manage those servers as per policies and procedures
- Produce Compliance assessment report, and evidence, Audit findings remediation actions
- Follow up Calls and SR logged with OEM Support as per Support contract SLA
IT Service Management
- Network Device Assets Discovery, authentication and Inventory
- Incident and Problems management as per the policy
- Change, Configuration and Release management as per the policy
- Capacity management as per the policy
- Provide support to all system owners of systems connected to all Network
- Devices where applicable and in alignment with IT service Desk Policy
- Basic Architecture design
Cyber Security and GDPR
- Manage Daily Users Access Management
- Manage Daily Privileged Users Access Management
- Enforce Cybersecurity and GDPR by design on each Networking Devices.
- IT Assets obsolescence management
- Vulnerabilities and Compliance Management
- Ensure no Unsecure Ports on Network Devices
Key performance indicators:

- Networking Devices Systems Reference Architectures & Technical Designs
- Networking Devices Systems Cyber Security Standards & Guidelines Implementation

- Environment Usage Selection Tools
Qualifications
Hands-on experience in Network Security:
- Routing and Switching (TCP/IP Suite, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP)
- Firewall protection, IPS/IDS, Filtering, Anti-Virus
- VPN IPsec, SSL and Remote access
- Experience in Data Center solutions, Cisco Nexus and ACI.
- Ability to interact with third parties (Suppliers, clients, customers), coordinating and facilitating the work of others
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- The ability to work independently and with teams
- A customer-oriented attitude and desire to help others succeed
- Personal and professional integrity, which communicates a sense of mission Working Conditions
- Full-time position with occasional on-call responsibilities.
- Hybrid work environment depending on organizational policy.
- May require travel to data centers or branch offices.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in a Network Administrator/ Network Security role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience with Firewalls, Internet VPN IPsec and remote access implementation, troubleshooting, and problem solving
