Here's the Scoop – Summary

The Sales Analyst for Pet Supplies Plus (PSP) & Tractor Supply Company (TSC) supports data, formulating reports and recommendations to facilitate data-supported decision making.

This position is responsible for internal and external data analysis relating primarily to sales, trade management, data integrity, forecasting and performance management.

The Sales Analyst is expected to work from our Colorado or Nashville offices and reports to the SAM, PSP.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Analyze internal and external data to drive confident decision making.

  • Timely and accurate reviews on new and existing products.

  • Researching, categorizing, and clearing PHP/TSC customer deductions to the appropriate trade budgets.

  • Completing and PSP/TSC submitting new item setup and promotional forms for customers.

  • Communicating customer specific promotional plans to field sales teams monthly and quarterly.

  • Updating internal and customer reports month when RNI data refreshes.

  • Supporting the monthly update of the sales forecast for PSP/TSC customers.

  • Communicates sku rationalization decisions to customers and field sales teams.

  • Track and measure performance against key sales objectives, including sales, distribution, and merchandising.

  • PSP/TSC merchandising plan and promotion ROI analysis, including Astro and Promoboxx.

  • Present insights on a regular basis to the appropriate level of management.

  • Maintain and update external PSP/TSC customer and consumer information, including store locator.

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to predict, measure and interpret business trends.

  • Perform other duties, as required or assigned.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics or related professional designation.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience.

  • Strong Excel spreadsheet modeling skills (VBA a plus).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with other departments and key business partners.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work successfully with diverse groups, including ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback.

  • Strong organizational abilities, including planning, prioritizing, and execution skills, with ability to successfully manage and complete projects on time.

  • Effective time-management skills with ability to plan and prioritize in order to meet deadlines and achieve objectives, both independently and within a team environment

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Travel may be required.

  • Overtime as required.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
