Champion Petfoods EMEA is expanding! We are excited to announce we are looking for a EMEA Account Receivable Officer to join our team in Amsterdam.
Champion Petfoods is an award-winning pet food maker with a reputation of trust spanning 40+ years. Founded in a small town in Alberta, Canada, Champion – with its ORIJEN® and ACANA® brands – is a key player in the global premium pet food industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for the Account Receivable process end-to-end, from invoicing to cash collection and credit note issuance. By doing so, you'll play a key role in continuing the fast development of our EMEA region. You will work closely with our local Sales teams and EMEA customers, as well as Global Finance teams mainly in Canada & in the US. Your strong communication skills will be a key element for your success in the role.
What we are looking for?
An AR expert, who knows how to manage an account, to monitor invoices, to deep dive when issues occur
Experience in FMCG is a plus (or other industry with off-invoice trade)
Strong communication skills, towards internal and external stakeholders
English mandatory, other language is a plus
Someone curious, bringing positive energy and fitting with our super nice Finance team!
What will be your key responsibilities?
Manage the full Accounts Receivable cycle for your assigned portfolio, including invoicing, processing payments, and managing credit notes.
Proactively monitor customer accounts, issue payment reminders, and actively engage in cash collection efforts to meet performance targets.
Reconcile the AR ledger to ensure all payments are accurately posted and accounted for.
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
Prepare and distribute regular customer statements and aging reports.
Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve disputes and improve the order-to-cash process.
Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide necessary documentation for audits.
