You will join an ambitious engineering organization responsible for the Edge Platform capability that underpin modern terminal operations. The Edge Platform includes Edge Communications, Edge Data Centre, Edge Management and Platform Lifecycle Services, supported by shared function engineering services from Maersk. The role requires orchestration of internal engineering delivery across networks, operational yard connectivity, compute, storage, backup, observability, management tooling and cyber ser-vices. It also includes coordination of infrastructure requirements that interface with civil infra-structure for operational yards and edge data centers.
Key Responsibilities
Project orchestration and integration
- Orchestrate infrastructure projects from initiation through planning, delivery coordination, lean validation and operational handover.
- Facilitate internal engineering teams to align scope, sequencing, dependencies, milestones, risks and decisions across workstreams.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, delivery roadmaps, financial forecasts and dependency views.
- Prepare SteerCo materials, status updates and governance inputs in line with agreed reporting standards.
- Prepare decision-quality inputs for the Steering Committee, ensuring risks, dependencies, options, recommendations and required decision dates are clearly framed
- Ensure delivery outputs are coherent across teams and ready for service transition, while constructively challenging engineering teams to improve delivery quality, integration and readiness. ·
- Capture lessons learned across deployments and use them to improve delivery maturity, repeatability and governance across the Edge Platform lifecycle.
- Contribute to the maturity of the Platform Lifecycle Services team by improving ways of working, sharing lessons learned and helping make delivery more repeatable, transparent and effective
Edge Platform delivery scope
- Coordinate delivery across Edge Communications, including network capabilities and infrastructure requirements for the operational yard.
- Coordinate delivery across Edge Data Centre, including compute, storage, backup and infrastructure requirements for edge data center facilities.
- Coordinate delivery across Edge Management, including observability, management capabilities and integration with shared cyber engineering services.
- Manage cross-platform dependencies between engineering teams, cyber services, Terminal HoITs, regional leads, local terminal stakeholders, service delivery and operational readiness activities.
Stakeholder, risk and delivery management
- Engage terminal operations, Terminal HoITs, regional leads, engineering, cyber security, service delivery, enterprise architecture, infrastructure teams, vendors and port stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with Terminal HoITs, regional leads and local terminal stakeholders to align access, change windows, local dependencies, risks and operational readiness.
- Identify and manage delivery, dependency, operational, cybersecurity, safety and change risks through appropriate governance and escalation.
- Coordinate suppliers or contractors where they support engineering delivery, while keeping the primary focus on internal team facilitation and integration.
Support lean validation of project outcomes, ensuring acceptance evidence is proportion-ate, practical and aligned to agreed delivery criteria.
Required qualifications
- Experience managing or coordinating infrastructure projects in operational, industrial or business-critical environments.
- Strong ability to orchestrate delivery across multiple internal engineering teams, manage dependencies and integrate workstream outputs into a coherent project outcome.
- Working knowledge of enterprise networking, data centre infrastructure, compute, storage, backup, observability, management tooling and infrastructure security concepts.
- Understanding of project governance, change management, lean validation, service transition and operational handover.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with clear control of scope, schedule cost, quality, risk, dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
- Strong financial management capability, including budget tracking, forecasting, cost control and clear reporting of financial risks or variances. ·
- Works independently under general direction, exercises sound judgement and escalates appropriately when integration, dependencies, safety, service continuity, decision quality or delivery outcomes are at risk.
- Contributes to a globally distributed team by sharing knowledge, communicating openly and helping create a working environment where people can deliver well and enjoy working together.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience within ports, container terminals, logistics, manufacturing, industrial automation or other operational technology environments.
- Familiarity with edge communications, edge data center, edge management or similar distributed infrastructure platforms.
- Understanding of civil infrastructure interfaces for operational yards or edge data center facilities.
