Job Description
Operations Manager, Courier & Logistics
The Planning & Performance team is responsible for ensuring our courier network remains stable, engaged, and responsive across multiple markets. We oversee the lifecycle experience following onboarding, focusing on enabling new couriers to get started successfully and supporting ongoing participation over time.
Our mission is to maintain a reliable and adaptable supply base that can flex in line with changing customer and operational demand. We combine data insights, operational strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our network remains healthy, resilient, and ready to scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Planning & Performance team. We ensure our courier network remains stable and responsive, focusing on the lifecycle experience post-onboarding to enable couriers to get started successfully and support long-term participation.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Drive network stability: Monitor and manage courier lifecycle engagement to ensure the right balance of supply meets evolving customer demand.
Execute operational strategies: Identify emerging risks or opportunities within the network and implement effective, high-impact operational responses.
Build scalable frameworks: Translate data and insights into practical playbooks and mechanisms that drive consistent performance across all markets.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Analytics, and Central Operations to align on shared goals and drive the adoption of new processes.
Iterate for impact: Use a hands-on approach to take initiatives from concept through to execution, measuring results and refining systems based on evidence.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Essential
Proven operational leadership: Significant experience leading strategic initiatives and delivering measurable improvements in complex, fast-paced environments.
Strong analytical capability: Ability to navigate ambiguity, structure problems clearly, and use data to inform prioritisation and decision-making.
Technical data skills: Working knowledge of SQL and comfort navigating large datasets to answer business questions and track performance.
Stakeholder management: Proven ability to align cross-functional partners, communicate trade-offs, and lead change management across teams.
Outcome-driven mindset: A strong bias for action with a focus on delivering tangible impact and iterating based on learning.
Nice to Have
Automation expertise: Experience using tools like Zapier, scripts, or advanced spreadsheets to automate high-volume operational tasks.
Sector experience: Background in logistics, courier operations, or the gig economy.
Experimentation skills: Familiarity with measurement design and testing operational hypotheses.
