We’re looking for an AV & Event Operations Specialist to join our London team. In this role, you’ll power how we connect through seamless video calls, global town halls, and internal broadcasts that reach every corner of our global business.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the AV & Events team. We are a high-performing in-house function responsible for the technical heartbeat of Deliveroo’s communications, managing everything from high-stakes live broadcasts to the day-to-day reliability of our global meeting room estate.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Lead Technical Event Delivery: Own the end-to-end setup, operation, and strike of AV systems for live, hybrid, and streamed events at our London HQ and offsite locations.

• Maintain Global Connectivity: Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for our global meeting room estate, triaging advanced faults and partnering with vendors to ensure 24/7 reliability.

• Content Creation & Media Production: Record and edit internal-facing video content, ensuring high-quality, brand-consistent media delivery using professional editing tools.

• Drive Infrastructure Excellence: Take ownership of preventative maintenance, equipment audits, and asset management to ensure all AV kit is event-ready and functioning at peak performance.

• Support Technical Evolution: Contribute to AV-related projects and office launches, assisting with system upgrades, testing, and the creation of technical documentation to scale our capabilities.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Essential

• Significant experience in AV operations: A proven track record of running technical setups for live and hybrid events in corporate, media, or agency environments.

• Technical mastery of AV hardware: Strong proficiency with vision mixers (Blackmagic, Roland) and audio consoles (Yamaha, Allen & Heath).

• Platform expertise: Deep understanding of streaming and conferencing tools including Google Meet, Zoom, OBS, and vMix.

• Networking fundamentals: Solid understanding of AV-over-IP environments, including IP addressing, VLANs, and signal flow over networks.

• Communication & Composure: The ability to resolve technical issues calmly under pressure and explain complex problems clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Scripting & Automation: A working interest in code-driven AV systems (LUA, SQL) or APIs to customise modern AV platforms.

• Professional Certifications: Industry-recognised credentials such as Q-SYS, Dante, Crestron, Extron, or AVIXA CTS.

• Advanced Media Skills: Strong competency in professional video editing software and content production.
